While this might be true, part of it is definitely arose out of her own insecurities and bad decision-making, such as going out with Gamzee in the first place, or killing Vriska.

A far cry from the HUGE BITCH (bluh bluh) that we've come to know.

It seems that her negative aspects aren't even remotely gone by this point. There's the undercurrent that Dead Vriska is a representation of all of Alpha Vriska's insecurities, that her [[ItsAllAboutMe eternal quest to be as relevant as possible]] is as ultimately pointless as she's scared to think it is.
