Abusive Parent, Bad Boss, Dirty Coward and Jerk With A Heart Of Jerk are sub-tropes of Hate Sink, so listing the super-trope as well is not allowed.

* HateSink: He's devoid of any positive qualities and sympathetic moments, with all of his scenes just further emphasizing how evil and ruthless he is.

* HateSink: A DeconstructedCharacterArchetype. She's initially shown to be a despicable jerk which is driven home when she antagonizes Fairy Tail in the Grand Magic Games and later when she joins ''two'' dark guilds to exact revenge on Erza. Eventually, Erza acknowledges that their confrontations after the games are pointless and sympathizes with Minerva over her despicable plights.

* TheStarscream: PlayedWith. While she plays herself as a loyal TheDragon towards her father, she does not hesitate to shove her father's TheSocialDarwinist beliefs on his face after Sting takes him down in a fit of rage, and she's the one who pushes Sting to take over as the guild master for "defeating" her father, but making sure Sting is on her leash by keeping Lector her hostage.
* TheStrategist: She's the one who makes the battle plans for Saber Tooth, including the plan for the final battle at the Grand Magic Games where she instructs her team to avoid the tougher fights (like Erza, Kagura, and Jura) and concentrate on the easy prey. Even after she herself got defeated, her plan still almost works, as Sting was completely unarmed facing a worn-down Fairy Tail team, but Sting decides to surrender rather than defeat his idols in such a dishonest manner.

Kick The Dog is when a villain goes out of their way to hurt someone/something just because they can. Not because it serves them (like establishing dominance, etc.).

She could have easily won the match by teleporting Lucy out of the ring, even ensuring Lucy have last place by doing it early, but made a point not to do so just so she could beat Lucy. She even uses her magic to ''keep'' Lucy in the ring for longer. The beatdown is so vicious and pointless that the referees had to intervene by declaring the match over just to stop Minerva.
