* KnightinSourArmor: He fights on thinking that they will fail.

* EatingMachine: Of the cyborg variety. As you can clearly tell, he's mostly mechanical now, but he puts away food nonetheless. As he explains it, the food is burned in his [[ILoveNuclearPower fusion reactor]], which keeps him going.

* TheBigGuy: Among the monsters, [[UpToEleven which is saying something]].

* NiceHat: Nice, and in the Behemoth's reveal trailer, it falls off his head and he runs ''toward'' the giant monster [[SkewedPriorities just to save it from being crushed]].

* NiceHat: A gray stetson.

* ArmorIsUseless: Does this to the Monsters. When charged, his rifle can ignore the monster's armor entirely, directly injuring it.

* FrontlineGeneral: He's the leader of the hunters and takes part in the conflicts personally.

* OnlySaneMan: Debatable with Hank and Parnell, but unlike his fellows, Cabot is level headed, mature and treats the hunt like how any sane professional would; with calm seriousness. He never indulges himself into comics like Parnell would or casually talks about dropping orbital barrages on his teammates like Hank. And that's not getting into the rest of his team...

* MadScientist: Seems to be very interested in what can be gained from studying the monsters judging by his reaction to the Wraith Trap or expressing an interest in resurrecting a monster. {{Downplayed|}} since [[http://dropship.evolveupdates.com/conversation/she-knows-how-it-works a conversation with Lennox]] has her explain how the Lazarus Device works, which he seems to react to with a request to the explanation as if he didn't quite understand it, implying he's not really well-educated in scientific matters.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: See Doomed Hometown.

* DoomedHometown: Downplayed. He and other SALGE welders founded a colony named Sterling, but happened upon a valuable element known as [[{{Unobtainium}} bohrium]], coveted by the various megacorporations of the Arm. The megacorps hired mercenaries to take over the colony, forcing the few survivors to flee. Markov hired himself out as a mercenary himself and vowed to never let a colony fall like that again.

* UncertainDoom: He makes it off of Shear, but he may meet his end [[spoiler: against the Phantom Wraith]].

* AxCrazy: Compared to the other hunters, he's clearly unhinged.

* ExactWords: In one conversation, Sunny will ask Hyde not to harm Slim. Hyde takes exception to everyone thinking he'll hurt Slim and claims he's never hurt a flea. Sunny quickly retorts that she's watch Hyde burn monsters alive and enjoy it. Hyde reiterates that he's never hurt a flea.

* GoodScarsEvilScars: Has a nasty burn mark covering half his face, and a missing eye, but is on the good guy's team.

* TragicKeepsake[=/=]StoryboardBody: His torso's covered in tattoos.

* WalkingShirtlessScene: Proudly walks into the hunt showcasing his shirtless tattooed human parts.

* TheAtoner: Deeply regrets some of his actions. [[spoiler: Particularly the murder of an innocent man that made him a wanted man in Hub.]]

* DarkAndTroubledPast: His father hates him, and he can't go back to hub because he murdered a rather important man. A conversation between Hank and Parnell has Parnell that insist in a fight between Slim and Abe, Abe would surely win it because while Slim's might be a genetically-enhanced soldier, he's not a killer...unlike Abe.

* MrFixit: A mild version - he's a rather talented tinkerer. He found a jetpack large and powerful enough to move around Markov's considerable weight, and fixed Parnell's Rage Trooper suit's injection system so that it only 'hurt like hell' as opposed to outright killing him. It should be noted, this means Abe managed to fix a problem that led to an entire division of in-universe military getting scrapped.

* SirSwearsALot: The [[AllThereInTheManual supplemental stories]] reveal him as this.

* TheGunslinger: Dual wields pistols.

He had a planned adaptation called Warbucket, but the expiration of TRS's contract makes its future unlikely

* CyberCyclops: Has only a single eye

* BadassAdorable: Cheerful, friendly and excitable, and will ''lay you out'' with that grenade launcher.

* DeathIsCheap: His job is basically to enforce this...mostly. ''Eventually'', the Lazarus Device will probably cause brain damage to its recipients, but this apparently will take hundreds of resurrections.

* MeaningfulName: As with everyone and everything named Lazarus, a reference to [[UsefulNotes/TheBible the man Jesus brought back from the dead]].

* UndeathlyPallor: His appearance caused some child colonists to suspect that he's been resurrected and kept alive by his own Lazarus Device. When told this, he says that's of course not it, he's just a pale Serbian.

* ShellShockedVeteran: The Mutagen Wars and living alone have left Slim with PTSD, causing him to forget a good chunk of his past, even his real name. Parnell and the others have been helping him cope.

* UnseenPrototype: He isn't one himself, but it's implied that the previous generations of Basilisk soldiers had... [[BodyHorror unpleasant flaws]], and a tendency towards SanitySlippage. Torvald considers Slim lucky to be Gen Three, but then, given that Slim's very existence is illegal and the people that could restore him to humanity are either in jail or dead, Slim doesn't entirely agree.

* BlackAndNerdy: Parnell has a large collection of vintage (as in over 300 years old) comic books he brought with him on the mission. He's gotten Markov, Abe, ''and'' Slim hooked on them. His knowledge of military history also seems to be more than just practical considering he references to the infamous Maginot line, and recites quotations from Dwight Eisenhower and Carl von Clausewitz.

* BaldOfAwesome: Has no hair on his head, but is no less capable than any other hunter.

* BadassBeard: Val describes it as "a beard you can lose a sandwich in".

* BadassBeard: His facial hair rivals Hank's and he's just as skilled.

* BadassMustache + HotBloodedSideburns: Griffin has the most impressive facial hair in the group, boasting a huge set of muttonchops.

* BadassMustache: Has a very nice 'stache.

* PowerTrio: Was part of one with Parnell and Abe as the pilot for the Sword, before the events of the game.

* AlternateIdentityAmnesia: Nice Emet has no recollection of what he says while the Demon Core's active.

* COntinuitySnarl: It isn't clear whether Emet's personalities are meant to be aware of eachother. Some lines only make sense if they are, others only make sense if they aren't.

* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Respectively named after a gigantic and feared [[UsefulNotes/TheBible Philistine warrior]], a Norse sea monster, a vengeful spirit, an [[UsefulNotes/TheBible invincible beast]], and a Greek monster cursed by the gods. Not exactly the kind of names found on child friendly characters.

* largeHam: [[ExaggeratedTrope Exaggerated]] by Demon EMET, who doesn't seem capable of speaking at any volume other than a bloodletting shout.

* {{Adorkable}}: He's absolutely helpless around girls, and his "Jackal" persona seems endearing to certain members of the crew.

** HumanoidFemaleAnimal: While obviously nonhuman, her body more closely resembles a human being's than any other monster. Specifically, a woman. The resemblance can be [[UncannyValley rather uncanny]]. See, in spite of their extraordinary capabilities, the other monsters ''could'' pass as wholly natural animals under the right circumstances, but take a look at her [[http://web.archive.org/web/20150611093309/http://a.pomf.se/spksvf.png here]], and you'll notice something rather jarring about her appearance.

The Tier 1 Support class is Hank, an engineer born on Mercury. He is a defensive specialist, capable of protecting allies with his [[BarrierWarrior Shield Projector]] or dealing massive damage to a small area by calling an [[DeathFromAbove Orbital Barrage]]. His direct-fire weapon, a [[FrickinLaserBeams Laser Cutter]], deals relatively low damage.

* AttackItsWeakPoint: All the monsters have a weak spot that Hunters can hit for more damage. For most of them, [[BoomHeadshot it's the head]]; for Behemoth, [[TheLastofTheseIsNotLiketheOthers it's the stomach]].

The tier 5 Medic Character. A medical drone that was retrofitted by Jack to serve as an attack robot, his medical and offensive programs have distinct personalities that are unaware of one another and seem to switch at random. His finger can shoot out a tracker that is linked with the guided missile launcher on his back, he can deploy up to three buoys that heal any hunter in their radius, and he can deploy a beacon that cuts down the time killed hunters have to wait to return to the battle from 2 minutes to 30 seconds.
