* DifficultButAwesome: It's difficult for a team to work with Cabot since he's only able to offer his Shield Burst to protect their lives and his Damage Amplifier having the drawback of one less gun being trained on the monster when he's using it means the team is really going to have to be coordinating their attacks together when it comes out - but when they do, the monster's health and armor will melt under the hunters' fire.

We can only assume that's because a flea burning to death would lack sufficient entertainingly-clear indications of agony for him.

He found a jetpack large and powerful enough to move around Markov's considerable weight, and fixed Parnell's Rage Trooper suit's injection system so that it only 'hurt like hell' as opposed to outright killing him. * SirSwearsALot: The supplemental stories reveal him as this. He's not as bad as Hyde is with regards to this trope in hunts, but he's still pretty liable to belt out "motherfucker" toward the monsters.

* YouWillNotEvadeMe: Out of all the Trappers, Abe is the least effective at locating the monster in the first place unless the monster happens to eat the wildlife he's tagged with a tracking dart which will require the monster to have taken the time to head over to where the Hunters were. Out of all of the Trappers after the monster has been already cornered however, Abe is hardest for the monsters to keep away from after the dome collapses since his tracking darts will show the entire team where they are exactly and his amble amounts of Stasis grenades will slow them as they try to make distance while they wait out the tracking dart, which Abe can just apply to them again whenever he gets direct sight of them.

* CombatMedic: Rogue Val is designed to especially emphasize the "combat" part, trading the utility from her Sniper Rifle's armor-piercing locations and Tranquillizer Darts' slowing effect in favor of shooting much faster and doing damage-over-time with her respective weapon's adaptations. Her Healing Burst also instead heals only herself a lot to help her keep shooting.

* CooldownManipulation: His Healing Drone is almost completely useless at healing Hunters under attack since it's immediately destroyed when they take damage. Because of this, Slim's Healing Burst has much of its cooldown reduced when he shoots something with his Leech Gun to serve as his main source of healing for any Hunters actually being focused upon.

* GeneticEngineeringIsTheNewNuke: The three Mutagen Wars (Slim was in the third) involved the rebel forces of Bode's World using gene-splicing to create special "Basilisk Soldiers" to help give them a chance against Hub's apparently-massive army. The first generation of Basilisk Soldiers were said to be nigh-invulnerable (requiring the Chemtroopers that Hyde was in to be formed to kill them) but apparently tended to quickly go insane. The third generation Basilisk Soldiers Slim was part of was more refined and less unsubtle in effectiveness (since Slim is obviously not nearly invulnerable) in addition to being without horrible side effects, but nonetheless Slim is now probably-transformed-for-life since anyone who could make him a normal human is either dead or detained...and Hub will execute him if they got ahold of him. Val for her part, thinks [=CIG=]9 had no issues with the genetic engineering, they just naturally didn't want Bode's World to declare themselves independent from Hub.

* ShellShockedVeteran: The Mutagen Wars and living alone have left Slim with PTSD, causing him to forget a good chunk of his past, even his real name. Parnell and the others have been helping him cope.

* ArmorIsUseless: Despite his heavy armor, he's no tougher in practice than the other Assaults since their Personal Shield abilities are alike. ** HumanoidFemaleAnimal: While obviously nonhuman, her body more closely resembles a human being's than any other monster. Specifically, a woman. The resemblance can be rather uncanny. See, in spite of their extraordinary capabilities, the other monsters could pass as wholly natural animals under the right circumstances, but take a look at her here, and you'll notice something rather jarring about her appearance.

Frickin' Laser Beams entry amended in accordance with this Trope Repair Shop Thread.

The Tier 1 Support class is Hank, an engineer born on Mercury. He is a defensive specialist, capable of protecting allies with his Shield Projector or dealing massive damage to a small area by calling an Orbital Barrage. His direct-fire weapon, a Laser Cutter, deals relatively low damage.

The tier 5 Medic Character. A medical drone that was retrofitted by Jack to serve as an attack robot, his medical and offensive programs have distinct personalities that are unaware of one another and seem to switch at random. His finger can shoot out a tracker that is linked with the guided missile launcher on his back, he can deploy up to three buoys that heal any hunter in their radius, and he can deploy a beacon that cuts down the time killed hunters have to wait to return to the battle from 2 minutes to 30 seconds.
