* AmbiguousDisorder: There is something that is very wrong with him, outside of his homesickness. He even says that it feels like "his head isn't screwed on straight." He's very volatile emotionally and prone to self-harm. And it looks like we'll never know, which is sadly TruthInTelevision.

* WalkingSpoiler: He's a character that only lasts one season, and his suicide impacts others. If you were to look him up just to see who he is, you would get spoiled for the rest of season twelve. * FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling[=/=]SiblingYinYang: He's a complete slacker and a deadbeat dad to Isbella, in stark contrast to Jane's drive and passion.

* LoveTriangle: With Manny and Emma.

* ActorAllusion: In ''Need You Now'', the school's resident AlphaBitch makes her the mascot, just like Paige did to Manny (played by Alex Steele's RealLife older sister Cassie) in season four. Also, she's a big fan of West Drive, a TeenDrama ShowWithinAShow that Manny auditioned for in season seven.
