Comes ''Legion Mate'' arc, not only does Naoki rejoin the team earlier than everyone else, his status as TheLancer carries over from the previous season into this one and he is also the only one who lasts for the entirety of the final arc, beating both the Quatre Knight match up he is in, and Kourin making him the only one of the season’s five main characters besides [[TheProtagonist Kai]] to avoid being an AdvertisedExtra. While Naoki was never unimportant per se, it gets rather jarring to see him standing around Kai, Ren, and Leon three major character with two of them having special powers that made them very important in the season's backstory.
