A racer from the ''VideoGame/FZero'' series of games. Based off his portrayal in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'', [[CallingYourAttacks with the same tendency to announce his last name and whatever attack he's doing]]. [[UpToEleven Or any verb he's doing]], for that matter.

* TakeThat: Sonic's new year's resolution for 2012 was [[PolygonCeiling to suck less.]] WordOfGod states that he liked ''VideoGame/SonicColors'' and ''VideoGame/SonicGenerations'', but the joke was just too good to pass up (Kirby's resolution was to [[VacuumMouth suck]] more).

* HeroicMime: It's implied that he ''wants'' to speak more, but Navi doesn't let him. The only time he actually gets to speak is when he is briefly transformed into [[WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfZelda his counterpart from the animated series]], and then he only says the infamous {{catchphrase}}, and recoils in shock after he turns into himself again.

* ThrowTheDogABone: Sonic expects to get laughed at in the E3 2013 Review Comic, but is instead told that his new game is shaping up nicely. Fans would agree that this would eventually not be true for [[VideoGame/SonicLostWorld the game in question]].
* WoundedGazelleGambit: He pulled one of these on Mega Man, tricking the Blue Bomber into pricking his finger and dying, thus giving Sonic a spot in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl''. Mega Man got his revenge in a later strip though.
