SHIELD Agent Barbara "Bobbi" Morse was captured and replaced by the Skrull Queen Veranke, presumably after Bobbi and Hawkeye were captured by HYDRA for infiltrating HYDRA Island. Now NeedsABetterDescription.

Avenger Steve Rogers became captured by Skrulls, and replaced with a doppelganger, shortly after the Avengers overthrew Loki and returned to New York. Some time earlier, Kang warned Tony and Steve that he learned of Captain America betraying the other crimefighters in a way that will bring about the end of the world. This presumably refers to something the Skrull Cap will do, although Kang did not know it at the time.

Each of the Avengers eventually gains a Skrull duplicate, but most of them only work to trick real Avengers into teaming up with them.
