** Another Berserk Button that doesn't come up often: Ash is a MommasBoy. Very, very much. Do not speak ill of his mom. Do not [[{{Fanon}} gawk at]] her, either. And do not try to harm and/or abduct her. Ash was ready to punch out a legendary Pokémon over this.

* Butch, a member of Team Rocket, will not take happily [[AccidentalMisnaming someone butchering (no pun intended) his name.]] Some examples include Botch, Bob, Bill, Biff, Butcher, Buffy (seriously), and a variety of other names (except for [[ThisIsForEmphasisBitch the obvious one]], [[GoshDangItToHeck unsurprisingly]]). In Japanese, the mistake is always Kosanji (instead of Kosaburo).

* A general one. Ash is a FriendToAllLivingThings and even if the Pokemon he befriends don't join his team, they are very protective of him, meaning boy's got ''Legendaries'' in his corner. Then there's his human allies, the majority of whom are ''very'' skilled at the profession they've chosen (plus some, like Gary and Brock, who have chosen a new path but lost none of their original skills) and who are equally protective of him as are their own Pokemon. Just...don't mess with Ash okay?

** Ash ''also'' doesn't take too kindly to anyone who intentionally hurts his friends, humans and Pokémon alike. He ''really'' let [[HateSink Faba]] have it for what he did to Lillie, outright forgoing battling altogether and just straight-up ''[[TalkToTheFist tackling him]]''.

** Yes, it's a RunningGag. Yes, there was a time someone (specifically, Cassidy) got his name right. Yes, [[CrowningMomentOfFunny he yelled at her on instinct before his brain caught up]].

** Heaven help you if you [[NobodyTouchesTheHair mess up or insult Jessie's hair]] as well. This is one of the many things that can easily set her off. Poor Seviper... she ''[[CrowningMomentOfAwesome defeated]]'' (and subsequently caught) him ''[[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown bare-handed]]'' after he accidentally tore it off!

* Dawn cannot stand it when someone she knows doesn't remember her. One time Paul said he didn't remember her, which he probably said to piss her off, made Dawn ready to attack him. This could also double as a CrowningMomentOfFunny.

As such, if you prefer not to be on the receiving end of an [[LimitBreak Inferno Overdrive]], you ''will'' be careful about any Z-Crystals you earn, especially if said crystal was provided by one of the [[OlympusMons island guardians]]. Ash nearly got this when he accidentally blurted out that he lost his Electrium Z given to him by Tapu Koko, causing Kiawe to pretty much lose his shit until Rotom briefly calmed him down...only to push yet ''another'' one of his buttons by assuming based on flimsy evidence that Kiawe took the crystal, only to find out [[spoiler:he himself accidentally hid it]]. A further enraged Kiawe then took his anger out on Rotom instead.

* Ash considers his friends like family. He doesn't like it when you mess with his family.
** Said friends typically don't like threats towards Ash either and most of them either are or become truly competent trainers in their own right with fairly powerful Pokemon.
** Ash earns the respect of his Pokemon and typically their affection. Do ''not'' threaten and/or harm Ash in front of ''any'' of his Pokemon; it won't end well for you.
** Ash also has a tendency to befriend random Pokemon he meets along the way and they ''never'' take him being threatened well. Just...don't mess with Ash, okay?
* Max may not always get along with May but he's still her little brother and she loves him very much; threaten the kid with no Pokeballs and his [[BigSisterInstinct big sis will demonstrate just how much Coordinating has boosted her training skills]].
