* In the 2nd Wars, George Francis' Chaos (the forerunner to the legendary Chaos 2) managed to defeat Dead Metal in the tug-o-war trial. You read that right, while the other four competitors battled to last as long as they could (with two of them managing to last the full time without being pulled into the pit) Chaos actually dragged Dead Metal into the pit! Even more awesome was that it was Foreshadowing foreshadowed before the run when Philippa actually asked Team Chaos whether they could get Dead Metal into the pit and George Francis answered "We'll give it a good go".

*** It was worse (and yet, somehow better) than that- Storm 2 won the Season 7 Grand Final, only being blatantly robbed of the championship because the judges were tricked into making a false decision! YMMV? No, the judges actually sent Team Storm personalised letters of apology so they as good as admitted they were the real winners (sadly too late to make a difference)!

Probably better just to remove that bit, since it seems to be just bitching about the Typhoon 2 vs Storm 2 controversy

** The Typhoon series of robots later did this to greater success, holding several victories in the middleweight division and Typhoon 2 winning the grand final of the seventh wars (via one of the most controversial judge's decisions in the series. Literally noone was happy with it, including the judges themselvesUnsurprising since they were basically tricked into rendering a false decision- while they didn't inspect the robots in person as they occasionally do for particularly close matches, they were informed that Typhoon 2 was basically completely undamaged, causing them to rule in its favour based on damage dealt. This was an outright lie as Typhoon 2 had actually lost a drive chain, and the crew even knew this, but it was covered up until afterwards.)
*** Except Jayne Middlemiss, who was rooting for Typhoon 2 all the way because she was Scottish and Typhoon 2 was a Scottish robot. Go figure.

*** This one requires elaboration, at that alone won't do it justice. Gravity flipped Dantomkia out in roughly SIX SECONDS, setting the record for the shortest battle ever. And the kicker? The previous holder of the Quickest Battle record was also Dantomkia, who took out IG-88 in 8 seconds. Glorious.

Wrong robot (and Killdozer wasn\'t in season 1!)

* Killdozer: since the last season, it had received an "upgrade" which seemed to consist entirely of a more ornate casing. Before entering an Endurance Tug-o-War against the house robot Matilda which seemed to be a CurbStompBattle, the team makes oblique references to a "secret weapon". As expected, Matilda quickly overpowers them, but as she pulls on the rope the robot leans forward, causing its ornamental spikes to embed themselves in the ground, slowing it long enough for it to exceed the previous record. See it here.

** From Series 3 Grand Final we have (again!) Chaos 2. After defeating Hypnodisk it tried to keep the Housebots away from his defeated opponent, and when Matilda and Shunt ganged up against it they got flipped over with ease. And probably Chaos 2 would have got more if cease wasn't called. That little black flipper was mean.

While it\'s lifter did go up it looked more like it was going up as a result of bouncing back of the wall, and by the time it did go up Steel Avenger was already on it\'s way over the side.

** Whilst there is no doubt Storm 2 is a very cool robot, it did use its lifter right at the very end to get The Steel Avenger over and out once it had been bounced high off the wall. (Pause it at 1:30)
