!Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance
* Despite having plenty of bad luck against the Lost throughout the campaign, [[spoiler:Chapter 6 is where the party's fortunes start turning around.]]
** The first blow is struck by [[spoiler:Usalia, who manages to unpin heiress Izuna from the Lost Orcs attacking her, and erecting a barrier to block the death ball the Lost Imp throws into the fray. This selfless act gets Izuna to consider negotiations with the rebel army; the subsequent fight with the Lost convinces her to join forces for the long term.]]
** You know that RunningGag where Seraphina regularly shoots people who she disagrees with, mostly [[ButtMonkey Red Magnus]]? [[spoiler:When disciplining Zeroken for trying to bitch out against Bloodis, a stray shot nails him in the ribs; Christo, catching on to his reaction as a weakness, spills what he learns, prompting Killia to perform a follow-up that forces the Demon General to bail in its wake. Damaging a Demon General enough to force him to withdraw is sure to put them on Void Dark's kill list.]]
* Chapters 8 through 11 are awesome moments for the focus characters of those chapters. Killia lends a hand, but it's mostly all them.
** Zeroken [[spoiler:confesses his true nature as a former Lost medic who nursed Goldion back to health, and learned almost all the techniques from him before he was repurposed as Bloodis; this is in stark contrast to his initial presentation as Goldion's chosen heir. Throughout the chapter, Killia helps train him throughout so he can use the final technique, Avidya Holy Water, which Killia learned but never perfected.]] The awesome comes in two phases.
*** After the penultimate battle, [[spoiler:Killia informs Zeroken that if he blows this attempt at the technique, they're going to have to kill Bloodis after all, but under the pressure, Zeroken puts everything he's got into it and ''successfully'' executes the technique. The elation from the resulting nirvana causes Zeroken to become a full-fledged Overlord-class demon, unlocking his Overload on the spot.]]
*** Then comes the ultimate battle. [[spoiler:After beating down Bloodis, Seraphina repeats her stunt from Chapter 6 to bind him, and Killia and Zeroken both execute Avidya Holy Water immediately, with both of them pouring everything into it. This disables Bloodis and expunges a dark mist from his soul, which indicates he's been cleansed... at least, he would be if [[WhamMoment Void Dark didn't personally show up and curbstomp Killia on the spot]], forcing the party to withdraw.]]
** Red Magnus [[spoiler:spends almost all of Chapter 9 going on an utter rampage at the thought of his own men selling out to the Lost, as Panchos reveals to him soon into it. The party goes out of its way to both point him towards the Devouring Kris consuming his Netherworld and to get him to snap out of his tantrum over the betrayal, upon which he realizes who he hates most of all: himself, for allowing Scorching Flame to go to shit. As he comes to the revelation, he expresses his concerns to Panchos where he stands; not only is Panchos weeping at Red Magnus' newfound CharacterDevelopment, but Red Magnus himself reawakens to his old power, evolving his Overload and lifting the resulting burden. He then lays the smack down upon the remaining Lost jabronies before uprooting and crushing the Devouring Kris himself.]]
** Usalia may have been stronger than she gave herself credit for after living under her curse for so long, but [[spoiler:she's continued torturing herself over her brattiness towards her own parents while they were doing everything in their power to help her. All of that changes when she encounters Majorita and her zombified parents, the latter of whom sacrifice themselves to save Usalia from the former.]] The awesome comes from the fallout: [[spoiler:knowing her parents' true feelings for her sets Usalia at ease, but the resulting power of familial love ''devolves Majorita's curse upon Usalia, transforming it into her Overload''!]] Further amplifying things, [[spoiler:given everything Majorita did to torment and/or {{troll}} the party throughout the game up to this point, utterly vaporizing the bitch with [[LimitBreak Murmur of Rage]] and [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown Berserk Stream]] is catharsis incarnate not just for Usalia, but for ''the player''.]]
** Christo joins in on the fun in Chapter 11. [[spoiler:When Usalia and Red Magnus attempt to preempt Majorita, she jabs them with a bloodsoaked knife and informs them that her Overload, [[{{Necromancer}} Broken Faith Magia]], is BloodMagic which lets her control flesh and not necromancy. While Usalia and Red Magnus freeze themselves where they stand with ThePowerOfFriendship, Christo decides he's had enough and uses his angelic magic to cure both of them in full view of Majorita. Seeing him so casually negate one of her worst curses, thus robbing her of her last method of torturing them, sends her on another date with the [[UnstoppableRage Rage Event Horizon]] as she summons another horde of zombies to kill the party. Christo's Overload evolves after this fight, but it feels oh so good to see the former ManipulativeBastard cum {{Sadist}} ''absolutely lose her shit twice in a row''.]]
* Chapter 15 draws out even more awesome moments, two of which are from the characters least likely to have them.
** The penultimate match [[spoiler:against Majorita ends with her getting wasted, except instead of plotting revenge against the party, she breaks down in tears, her last batch of zombies vaporized by Avidya Holy Water. And yet, the awesome moment from the fallout of this match is '''hers''': while she lingers, Void Dark happens upon her, throttles Broken Faith Magia out of her, and tells her bald-faced that said Overload was ''the only reason'' he kept her around so long. Realizing she was used for his selfish benefit, she brings herself to a stand out of ''sheer, unadulterated'' '''hatred''' and faces off against Void Dark. Sure, she loses -- in her state, how could she not? -- but it shows that even she has a line drawn in the sand]].
** The ultimate match [[spoiler:pits the party against Bloodis, who not only takes Killia's Avidya Holy Water at full force, but unleashes Ultimate Demon Technique, Ultimate Skill, Macrocosm upon Killia. Killia takes the hit, but still manages to fight back and win, even using the technique himself to finish Bloodis off. And yet, while that is awesome, what's more so is the revelation from Bloodis himself: he was cured of his brainwashing back at Chapter 8 and '''faked his own reindoctrination''' solely to teach Killia and help the rebels grow in strength, with Majorita and Void Dark himself none the wiser! Let it not be said that Goldion is a pathetic, weak-willed man]].
* The last moment of the game is, arguably, the last fight of the game. [[spoiler:While Void Dark managed to resurrect Liezerota, he also made her a nexus of uncontrollable power, which his pure malice infested after being expunged from within him via Macrocosm. After beating the revived Lieze into submission, Killia attempts Macrocosm, but it fails to do the job. Unfettered, he tries again, except this time his fellow Overlords use their Overload power to charge it up; the resulting discharge manages to purify Lieze completely, vaporizing Void's malice for good! Lieze herself gets points, too, as despite being a long-dead noncom infused with Void's malice, she still retains enough strength of will to ''[[ICannotSelfTerminate beg Killia for death]]''.]]

* Adell takes HeroicWillpower up to eleven when he willingly takes a giant-ass lightning bolt from a borderline-EldritchAbomination Overlord Zenon ([[spoiler:AKA, [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Rozalin]]]]) full force and ''barely even flinches.'' As we've said before: Nothing stops Adell from [[HonorBeforeReason keeping his promises]]. ''Nothing''
** He also ''{{Bright Slap}}s'' the aforementioned Overlord Zenon before that. [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu And it worked]].
* Axel's ridiculously crazy stunt that he pulls through the entirety of the last chapter of ''Disgaea 2'' instantly promotes him from comic relief to {{Badass}} as he manages to get the one up on not only Overlord Zenon, but almost ''every DimensionLord in the multiverse'' simultaneously.
* The Disgaea fandom has concluded, upon reading the manga version of the [[http://community.livejournal.com/cyberdance/75917.html#cutid1 Hopeless Boss Fight with Etna]], that Manga!Adell is GAR to the point of absurdity. Yeah, [[HopelessBossFight he still technically loses]] (let's see ''you'' take a lvl. 1000+ boot to the head and survive), but not before delivering a kick so hard that it drills the Demon Lord's face ''two feet into the bedrock.''
** In the same manga, the Disgaea trio's BigDamnHeroes moment. Zenon captures Rozalin and [[TheDragon has this huge Rifle Demon]] blast away Adell's family. All hope seems lost until Etna shows up and deflects the blast away with a single swipe of her spear. It doesn't end there because Laharl jumps out of a crowd of demons in his Skull robe disguise, burns it off in a way that would make {{Superman}} proud, and smashes the demon's face with a single punch. Then, to top it all off, Flonne, who was disguised as a kunoichi, quickly changes into her fallen angel outfit and delivers a barrage of love filled arrows.
!Absence of Justice
* Mao gets one for what is probably the most awesome defeat of a final boss ever: [[spoiler: Kill him? Nah! Why kill him when you can make him your own personal lab rat for all of your gruesome experiments?]]
** This is taken a step further when you realize what said final boss' motives are. [[spoiler:Throughout all of Disgaea 3, Super Hero Aurum had been posing as Geoffrey, Mao's butler, and raising him to be the ideal Overlord, as he perceived it, all so he could become a hero again - either living as one by killing Mao or dying as one by losing to him in battle. For Aurum, obscurity was worse than death; by the time the battle was concluded in the good ending, Mao came to the decision that [[NotWorthKilling his father's murderer didn't deserve death.]]]] [[BigNo Say it with me:]]

* Raspberyl Mode adds one: Raspberyl storms heaven itself in order to acquire the "Heart of an Angel" and become the Ultimate Delinquent. Then she forces a meeting with the Archangel, who turns out to be a promoted Flonne (an awesome moment itself considering how recently she was a mere Angel Trainee). Flonne demands to know why Beryl ''really'' did this, and Raspberyl grudgingly admits that really she's doing it all for Mao: their rivalry has always been what has driven him to greatness, by making him desire to one-up Beryl by becoming the Ultimate Honor Student. Everything Raspberyl has done, all the hard work and volunteering, was to inspire her friend. Flonne tells her she doesn't need the Heart of an Angel, she already has one.

* One has to wonder what ratio of [[AchievementsInIgnorance utter delusions]], UnstoppableRage, and [[HotBlooded sheer determination]] allows Fuka to be as fucking dangerous as she is, but it was pretty much narrowed down to those three ingredients ([[BigBrotherInstinct and maybe some actual acceptance of Desco]]) when [[spoiler:she and the Hades Party fought - and defeated - Des X. ''[[MakeMyMonsterGrow Twice]].'' Not only does the TokenHuman literally pulverize the monstrosity that shamed her family (by casting Desco into Hades and killing Fuka herself), but she has her final technique (Prinny Kaiser XX) ''unleashed by anger alone''.]]
** [[spoiler:Speaking of which, there's also the [[MotiveRant conver]][[ShutUpHannibal sation]] that led up to it. Extra credit to Artina for stalling additional hostilities long enough to let it flow.]]

* Upon defeating [[spoiler:the maliced-filled Nemo]] Valvatorez exclaims the following to [[spoiler:[[GodIsEvil God]]]].
--> Valvatorez: Do you see now, [[spoiler:God]]!? This is the power of demons, angels, and humans! A power that's much stronger than yours, [[TrueCompanions the ties of our camaraderie]]!
** Heck, any time he makes a RousingSpeech counts as an AwesomeMoment, a HeartwarmingMoment, or both.
* During the Netherbattle Tournament, Prier takes up Gig's challenge and gives him one of her signature uppercuts. However, while Gig says it hurt, he barely even flinches. Gig then returns the favor and sends Prier ''hurtling across the stage!''

!Hour of Darkness
* Laharl gets some of the most brutal moments, such as [[spoiler:obliterating the Earth fleet singlehandedly or leveling the Serpahic Sanctum in a fit of righteous rage]]... and, most particularly, the ending: [[spoiler:"IF THERE IS A GOD, MAY HE HEAR MY PLEA! I, LAHARL, HAVE BUT ONE REQUEST: TAKE MY LIFE, IN EXCHANGE FOR FLONNE'S!"]] Come on, you ''know'' you got a little shiver at that.
** "Your new name is Mid-boss".
*** Mid-Boss, incidentally, gets one, too. At the end of Chapter 13, as General Carter is getting away from the heroes and is panicking about how powerful demons are, Mid-Boss shows up and demands to know who Carter was referring to when he said that "he didn't tell me they were this powerful". Unfortunately, he quickly ruins the moment by congratulating himself for being so awesome.
** He also has an ''attack'' that qualifies: Meteor Impact, where he jumps up into the air so damn high he's able to hijack a passing meteor and sends it towards his opponent ''while riding on top of it and [[EvilLaugh laughing maniacally]]''.
* Flonne's speech against [[spoiler:Vulcanus]] in the final chapter.
* Speaking of {{Batman Gambit}}s, [[spoiler:[[TheChessmaster Seraph]] [[GuileHero Lamington]]'s gambit is very impressive starting from sending Flonne in an assassination mission while in reality is the beginning of his attempt to rebuild a bridge of peace between Celestia and the Netherworld and even added his treacherous second-in-command [[ObviouslyEvil Vulcanus]]'s own gambit into the mix with [[ObfuscatingStupidity Mid-Boss]] the only person who knew about this gambit before its reveal. Impressive chain of {{Unwitting Pawn}}s too, '''Captain Gordon, Defender Of Earth!''' -> General Carter -> Vulcanus -> Lamington.]]

* Etna had one when she used Laharl as bait for her [[{{Blackmail}} blackmailer]], told him that she had never truly been under his control and proceeded to give him an asswhooping so bad that he ended up literally ''begging'' her to let him become her slave if she only spared his life.
** For this troper, Etna's moment came a little bit later - when she shoots two [[{{Sentai}} Prism Rangers]] in the middle of their TransformationSequence. It's not a scene that's important to the plot, but it's still awesome.
*** Also a mild CMOH for her since she avoided killing them. shows a fair amount of CharacterDevelopment, since before the last chapter, she'd have killed without blinking.
** Also a crowning moment in-game: the boss battle against said blackmailer is right after a particular stage where you can level up VERY quickly - so your entire party and Laharl in particular is probably going to be vastly overleveled, resulting in a spectacular curb stomp battle, accompanied with amazing music.
*** The music in the background just clinches it. This game introduced me to Tsunami Bomb and they are still my favorite band.
