* JustEatGilligan: The wolves could save a lot of time and effort if they were to simply eat the goats raw. With that said, there is at least one instance where they actually ''do'' try to eat Paddi raw, in episode 90 of ''Joys of Seasons''; the only thing that stops them is their teeth breaking due to them having eaten all of Paddi's candy house a minute or so earlier.

''Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf'' (''喜羊羊与灰太狼'') is a rather popular cartoon series in China, being one of, if not the, most successful pieces of animation the nation has ever domestically produced. Huang Weiming created it in 2005 at Creator/CreativePowerEntertaining. The show has gone on ever since; with several seasons and ten movies to its name, the show has no end in sight.

* NowWhichOneWasThatVoice: The English dub doesn't credit the English voice actors. It only credits the original Chinese cast.

A group of school-age goats lives and plays in the aptly-titled Goat Village. [[TheHero Weslie]] is the smart and positive hero who leads the goats. [[BigEater Paddi]] loves to eat and sleep. [[TheLancer Sparky]] is TheBigGuy who's strong and likes to exercise. Sparky has a crush on [[TheHeart Tibbie]], a sweet and emotional goat who always cares about her own fashion and appearance. Jonie is the kind and sensible class president. Mr. Slowy is the old, slow village chief who teaches the children life lessons and also creates inventions to help them.

The show is very obscure in most places outside of its home country, though some people watch it while learning Mandarin. In the 2010s, an Asian English dub aired on Creator/DisneyChannel networks in the Asia-Pacific region, but the Disney contract was canceled before it was supposed to end in 2016. In the UsefulNotes/UnitedStates, the season ''Dear Little Wish'' and the first two seasons of ''Fun Class'' could be watched on [[http://www.miaomi-tv.com/ Miao Mi]] before it was removed from Amazon. Creator/CreativePowerEntertaining began uploading the English dubs for free on their [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbELDDHGqMbjsA_4Kyd7vMw official channel]] on Website/YouTube and then went on an unexplained hiatus and deleted the episodes after they began. ** ''Meet the Pegasus'' features a horse as its animal, or more specifically the pegasus. The goats try to create a happy ending for a fairy tale involving a pegasus prince who wants to marry a princess.
** ''Amazing Pleasant Goat'' uses the goat as its animal by having the main characters traveling back in time and meeting a bunch of prehistoric goats.
* EnemyMine: The films frequently feature the goats and the wolves teaming up to fight a common enemy.

* ForgetfulJones: Jolly's mother, Mama Hen, is somehow more forgetful than her own son, forgetting such important information as where she lives and, in her debut episode, ''what her son looks like''.

* GiantEnemyCrab: A large red crab appears in ''Great War in the Bizarre World'' episode 12, waking up and chasing after the goats and Jolly after [[ThatsNoMoon he's implied to be a large red rock]]. In the following episode, the goats are convinced that the crab is under Darton's power, and Jolly attempts to use the Luminous Ray to uncorrupt him. [[spoiler:It doesn't work because the crab isn't corrupted, leaving him furious that they would bully him and causing him and an army of crabs to go after the goats.]] Later, the crab and his friends attack giant frogs for ruining the altar that they were building.

* HypnoPendulum: Wolffy uses one, shaped like a wolf's head, in ''Great War in the Bizarre World'' episode 22 to hypnotize Jolly when he isn't able to give the location of the Luminous Ray. It works on nearby Wolnie, but not Jolly.

* MapAllAlong: Jolly's picture of a screwdriver, a nut, and a screw in ''Great War in the Bizarre World''. It's passed off by him as a map, and it's implied that Jolly just handed the goats and wolves a photo and is claiming that it's a map thanks to his [[KnowNothingKnowItAll non-existent knowledge]], with the wolves rightfully questioning his logic when they use it, but it later turns out to be a really good approximation of where everything is in the Bizarre World - [[spoiler:the river is shaped like a screwdriver, a nut-shaped castle wall is located close to it on the right, and a mushroom-like growth with a screw shape is to the left]].

* PublicExecution: Jolly and Eggy look as though they're about to be hung in ''Great War in the Bizarre World'' episode 33 for pretending to have long front teeth, but [[SubvertedTrope Jolly instead has his teeth ripped from him]]. Eggy isn't punished because he doesn't have teeth at all.
* PullingThemselvesTogether: In ''Great War in the Bizarre World'' episode 35, Darton declares that Jolly be executed, and the wolves make numerous attempts to do so. Each execution fails because Jolly simply pulls together the pieces of his eggshell afterwards.

** In ''Great War in the Bizarre World'' episode 15, Weslie creates an opening to a cave to get everyone to safety after they fall into the water. Jolly ends up briefly stuck in the passageway, leading to Weslie pushing him into the cave by using kelp to tickle his feet.
