** '''Tropes applying to any of their works that don't yet have their own pages.''' We normally list tropes on the relevant works page, but if that doesn't exist then we can sometimes list them on the creator's page instead. However, this is usually only appropriate if the trope is linked to the creator's own contribution to the work (e.g. a playwright's script or an actor's performance).

Wiki/ cleanup

Wiki/TVTropes is primarily about {{trope}}s and the works that use them. However, oftentimes information about an {{author|s}}, {{actor|s}}, {{director|s}}, {{producer|s}}, {{mangaka}}, {{composer|s}}, {{animator|s}}, [[VideoGameCompanies developer]], or other creator can be relevant to our understanding of the tropes in their works. To that end, we have {{Creator|s}} pages.

Creator page titles should be the name they are credited by, which often isn't their full or legal name (for example, our page for Creator/WillSmith isn't at "Willard Carroll Smith II"). If they are credited multiple ways throughout their career (such as occasionally using a PenName or the cases outlined below), the others can be used as [[Administrivia/CreatingNewRedirects redirects]] where appropriate (for example, Creator/JKRowling sometimes writes as Creator/RobertGalbraith; the latter page is a redirect to the former).

Note, however, that not all pages about people will fall into this category. Some, such as UsefulNotes/ThePresidents, are UsefulNotes and/or {{Historical Domain Character}}s. Others are pages for {{musicians}} or {{professional wrestl|ing}}ers that, while they may look like creator pages, are actually work pages for documenting the tropes used in their performances (and should be in the Music/ and Wrestling/ Administrivia/{{namespace}}s, respectively, with the page type "work", not "creator").
