Fast Eddie: Took out link to http://dojo.fi/~rancid/loituma__.swf — scary file type, from an anonymous poster. If you want to risk it, here it is.

HeartBurn Kid: I wasn't aware Flash files were scary. O_o

Fast Eddie: And, because they put it back in, blocked their IP. SWF need a warning. It's a script.

HeartBurn Kid: Still not sure what the big deal about Flash files is, considering that Flash isn't really powerful enough to do any damage to any part of a computer... anyway, linked to a "safe" version from You Tube.

Krid: "Little Known Facts About Chuck Norris" actually started with Vin Diesel, but was swiftly co-opted for Chuck Norris.

(random passer-by): Flash can execute Javascript even when it's disabled in your Web browser, for one thing. Do a Google search for "hostile Javascript" without the quotes.

Scrounge: Bonecrusher hates javascript.

YYZ: And then there's the popular (thanks to YTMND) image of Leeroy Jenkins as a heavily-armored Martin Lawrence.

Scrounge: Bonecrusher hates Warcraft.

Khym Chanur: Grrrrr, how in the world do you make a link to 300 work? I've tried 300, , 300 300 , 300 300, and all of it is displayed as-is, instead of it being a link to the (non-existent) 300 page. Does it need to exist first?

Ununnilium: The problem is, you can't link to something that starts with a number. I would do this: 300

Morgan Wick: I thought you couldn't even have something that starts with a number.

Scrounge: Bonecrusher hates SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Kimiko Muffin: Could someone explain the Shingetsutan Tsukihime one better? I have no idea what it's talking about there ...

osh: Think of it as such severe discontinuity fans prefer to just ignore it exists so none else has to bother to sit through it.

Citizen: It's just a minor /a/ forced meme to me. Better explained here.

Scrounge: Bonecrusher hates 4chan.

Fast Eddie: Compelled to do this, feel free to ignore.

class goggles(){function goggles(){return $this;}}

Okay, I feel better, now.

Scrounge: Bonecrusher hates nitpicks.

Scrounge: Bonecrusher hates running gags. Me, on the other hand? I feel better now. :)

Ninjcrat: The misplaced ':' in the Chuck Norris image has irritated me every time I saw it. So I downloaded the image, moved it and reuploaded it. I have perpetrated one of the dorkiest edits ever.

Freezair For A Limited Time: You think that's bad? The fact that that Chuck Norris card is allegedly a crrature but has no power and toughness is grating on me like nails on a chalkboard. I'd love to save it and give it "*+1/*+1", where the stars stand for the actual number of stars in the universe, but my Photoshop-fu is weak.

Tangent 128: Aww, somebody beat me to the Trogday quote!

Shay Caron: Ahahaha, somebody beat me to saying somebody beat me to the Trogday quote. I love this site.

Scrounge: The mention of this happening without the internet reminded me of something very important...

How did this page get so far along without mentioning that Andre the Giant has a posse?

Pro-Mole: I'm taking this explanatory statement about Candle Jack, because it simply ruins the mood. If you really needed clarification, you just needed to Google it, seriously.

 • So to make it clear, say this guy's (Candle Jack) name and you are obliged to cut your sentence midway, signifying that this guy KIDNAPS you.

Cassy: What about the AMV Hell Anime Music Videos and other AM Vs derived from it (FMA Hell, Eva Hell, etc)?

Antheia: I wouldn't say they count as memes themselves - that's more a case of Follow the Leader. The Osaka "beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep" clip, or just the general Osaka cult following, on the other hand...

That Other 1 Dude: Boo to Citizen for removing the stinger for no reason

EDIT: Who the hell removed it again?

John Hodgman:It could be anything on the internet. Spam, videos of lonely teens practicing with their lightsabers, comical reimaginings of movie premises - Brokeback Mountain, for example, cats dressed as nuns eating from dishes of gravy...
Jon Stewart: Or maybe even useful information, or news analysis.
John Hodgman: Well, I guess. In fact, these are all Chuck Norris jokes.
- The Daily Show, on memes.

I dunno... it's about memes, but it's not really about the mutation thereof.

Man Without A Body: Well, neither is the Strong Bad quote.

Should we include "Stupid, STUPID rat creatures!!!" from Bone ?

Deux Hero:The page needs a rick roll in it.

Morgan Wick: Before I saw the page, and the two sub-entries for the rickroll, I considered adding, or replacing the existing rickroll entry with, "This meme" or similar with a link to a rickroll video.

Raekuul: Should we include the Slaying of Scripts? Within the El Goonish Shive community, it's gained a meme of its own...

Air Of Mystery: What does "Very good, TVTROPES! BUT YOU NEED... MORE... EXAMPLES!" come from?

300.

Man Without A Body: Is the Casablanca example a meme all over the net, or is it just a TV Tropes one?

None of the above. It's a pre-internet one. Some memes exist even before the invention and/or popularity of the internet.

Guest: If anyone could think up a good Stan/ Miyuki quote for the addition I made a few days ago, that would be very much appreciated.

Fluff: In the "Specific Types of Memes" section, should Candle Jack be interup
Unknown Troper: Shouldn't Boom, Headshot! be in this index? It's a rather well-known meme, isn't it?

(passer-by): The most well-known meme is not Leeroy Jenkins. I'd give to either Chuck Norris jokes or the rickroll — my parents know what a rickroll is, while Chuck Norris jokes turned up in the 2008 election. Of course, I'd prefer just to get rid of the paragraph because it's not really about memetic mutation much.

Kulsprutejojjo: I believe Team Fortress 2 has enough merits for it's own memetic mutation page, since it is practically a living meme factory at about the same level as Touhou, perhaps even bigger. It should not take much for it to merit it's own specific page, considering I have seen many, MANY more memes from it than depicted on the Video Games page and the game's article. Same could probably be said about other games, such as World Of Warcraft, so I think we should discuss other franchises that merit their own pages too here.

Scatzilla99:I personally think Valve should have their own page rather then just one of there games. They're practically a meme factory.

Kulsprutejojjo: I agree on that point to be honest. Left 4 Dead, Portal and Half-Life all have memes all over the place too. While TF 2 is the most obvious, I think it would be even easier if we list all of Valve's memes on one page and divide it into sub-sections on said page. That would work pretty well I think. I commend you for this idea, and think I may start a page for it once I get the time.

macroscopic: Moved the following to Leeroy Jenkins:

An example of a famous meme (which, by its nature, became an Ascended Meme) is Leeroy Jenkins — see? We mentioned the name and you knew who we meant, didn't you? Leeroy became famous by way of becoming a Jeopardy question, and soon reached Ascended Meme status from a parodied appearance in Guild Wars, numerous tribute videos, a Dave Barry mention, and as a card in the World Of Warcraft card game. (and even, if you listen carefully enough, the Make Love, not Warcraft episode of South Park). Oh, and there's a Jenkins achievement in WoW, as of Wrath of the Lich King. He is also a figure in the newish World of Warcraft Collectable miniatures Game. He even shows up in the sci-fi game Mass Effect as a Red Shirt in the first mission.

Hikikotaku: Should Umineko No Naku Koro Ni from the Video Games section have its own page? From my monitor, it fills up about two pages.
