The one Marco used wasn\'t the one that he showed to Ed and Al. Presumably when Lust kidnapped him she took the liquid stone back and gave it to Gold Toothed Doctor who used it to try and bribe Mustang into performing human transmutation. After Wrath took the stone and then was killed by Scar, Ranfan took the stone and gave it to Ling who took it back to Xing so he could become Emperor.

The one Marco used on Mustang was the one he got from Al so he could heal Heinkel to help out Al against Kimblee and Pride.
