I didn\\\'t know whether to rip into Kalaong for the gross misinterpretation on Toph and Earth King Kuei, or laugh because of Kalaong\\\'s abysmal knowledge in general. The Touzaikaze, I think that was who Kalaong was ranting about this time, we do not have enough knowledge to know if they are even \\\"manipulating\\\" the Earth King, which is even then false, because this tribe has sent two gifts in good faith to their King in the hope that perhaps he will find their repayment of his great kindness sufficient enough to accept. To manipulate the Earth King, who SAVED them, who were thrown out of their original home in the Misty Palms Oasis because of Wan Shi Tong, smacks of great hubris. For a people who hold respect for the spirits and their King, manipulation is simply beneath them. Disrespecting the Earth King, after what he did to Wan Shi Tong, is a fatal mistake that can only end in death...or worse. We are talking about a figure the Touzaikaze, who are based off the Ancient Egyptians, see as the equivalent of a walking, living God.

Toph, a glory-hound? Seriously, Kalaong, maybe you\\\'re the blind one here. What makes you think what Toph did as the reigning champion of Earth Rumble as something as petty as self-glorification? She went to become the Blind Bandit because her parents simply are way too overprotective of her and don\\\'t see her as a real person. After all, what good is an Earth Kingdom noble daughter if she is BLIND?! She can\\\'t be married off, she can\\\'t bring her family honor, she can\\\'t do anything! Earthbending? That simply is not done. Too uncouth for someone of her noble blood. Earth Kingdom ladies do not do something as rough and dirty as earthbend, after all. Toph became the Blind Bandit because it was the only way she could be herself. So she could do what she loves to do best, without her parents interfering, stopping her, or dragging her back to a life that does not acknowledge her for who she truly is inside.

Fighting injustice? Hmph. Not everyone in the entire world may see Katara\\\'s justice as their justice. You toe a fine line there, Kalaong.

Zuko...you have absolutely no sense in understanding.

As for your baby boy, Aang, why don\\\'t you worry about how the other Air peoples will see him once this war is over. If they don\\\'t consider him a walking abomination, or if he\\\'s cursed to carry the fate of his people, the Temple airbenders, rather than the world\\\'s Messiah as you would think.
