The very first sentence here-- \\\"A sexual fetish (or, more properly, a paraphilia)\\\"-- is wrong. A paraphilia is a fetish \\\'\\\'considered as a mental disorder\\\'\\\'. \\\"Paraphilia\\\" is at best a small subset of fetish taken too far or gone wrong, and at worst a slander on kinky people; it\\\'s certainly not a \\\"more proper\\\" synonym for fetish.
