On Midna, it\'s implied that the spirits revived her, and Zelda, her spirit was \'\'inside Midna\'\'. That\'s why Midna didn\'t die at that point. Though I\'m not sure where her body disappeared to at that point, but Zelda\'s body became an empty shell because her spirit was inhabiting Midna until after dark Zelda was defeated.
