**Throughout the initial episodes of the show, [[spoiler: Director Hayward is portrayed in an increasingly unsympathetic light for his approach to the problem of Westfield. He quickly descends into antagonistic bickering with the trio of secondary protagonists at S.W.O.R.D.]] This glosses over the fact that based on the information available to the characters [[spoiler: his approach is reasonable, and his distrust of Wanda is entirely justified. If anything, his flaw is in not cracking down harder on the three indviduals who are openly undermining the entire operation based on hunches and protagonist intuition. He is also the only one of the major characters at the S.W.O.R.D. facility that regularly expresses at least token concern for the innocent people trapped in Westfield.]] Of course, the fact that [[spoiler: Hayward]] grabbed the IdiotBall in a deathgrip immediatelly after his first apperance is not doing him any favors here.

Another troper heavily edited the entry into DracoInLeatherPants - which in my opinion is a separate YMMV entry. To avoid descending into a tug-of-war, I\'d like to get some community guidance here.
