Also, it\\\'s very difficult to realize Loki was knocked over by the Mark VII unless you have a good eye or were watching in slow motion. Until just now, I thought he dodged the Mark VII, or was spun around by the impact.
This technically means Loki got bested twice by Tony; once when the suit knocks Loki over, and again when Tony blasts him. And in Thor 2, the Avenger Loki imitates - and mocks - is the only one who \\\'\\\'never\\\'\\\' individually beat him. So it is, in fact, plot (and character) relevant.
Much more so than earpieces.
