Mostly it's to avoid {{Edit War}}s, drama, and {{Justifying Edit}}s. Like I said this ''still'' causes a ton of controversy to this very day (a lot of fans instantly declare any comic written by him to be automatic crap), and odds are if more details were given it would result in a ton of arguing and fighting. At the same time, it's a valid entry that should be here since it's probably the most controversial thing to have happened surrounding the comics. It's sort of a double-edged sword, but I feel this is the best and most fair way to put in a valid entry.

If you guys like (but only if you ''want'' since it's beligerent, long, and I'd need to sniff up some external links to back my claims, and I'm not about to type it all out if nobody wants it) I could give a brutally honest play-by-play of the whole thing and we could decide if any extra info is a good idea to insert.
