When i got to the final boss is when i said "fuck it". Drac does way too much damage and if the devs are gonna be so stingy with the cards im not gonna feel bad about using it.
Yep. Its a shame, some of them have fun effects (including classic Castlevania item crashes) and some let Nathan use alt weapons like a comically useless gun, a flower sword like this was Utena or something and even just let him punch things
And this is where I'd display my Punch DSS card combo...if you let me have themmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowThey don't let you use the Cards against the final boss?
One Strip! One Strip! They do but once again, the shit drop rates and not knowing what enemies have them without the Anniversary Collection's gadget means you'll probably not bother or use the DSS glitch.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you know[they were talking about the arena. It drains your magic, so you cant use cards.
Oh. That still sounds pretty unfair.
At the very least, if you're having to go to that much trouble, they could fix those drop rates.
One Strip! One Strip!Frankly i think it may have been a better idea to just have the cards be items hidden in the overworld and rewards for beating bosses. That would make for a much better distribution of cards throughout the game and means you wouldnt have to rely on bullshit rng.
There's a romhack that pretty much does exactly that. If you don't mind playing on emulators (and really with the AC you're technically already doing that) and wanna play the GBA trilogy, those are usually your best bet for a far smoother experience.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowYeah seriously, random drops were the worst thing the series ever came up with, and it sucks Bloodstained keeps it. Ultra secret gimmick weapons or clothing would be fine for repeat playthroughs and easter eggs, but mandatory and 100% completion is nonsense.
"No will to break."Yep. I mostly grinded to get Bloodstained's equivalent of the Crissaegrim in that and it kinda sucked.
EDIT: The grinding I mean. The weapon itself was great

I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowThe funny thing is that after I grinded for it I didn't really use it. I mostly used Blue Rose instead. I'm a sucker for using "cover art" gear.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm kind of on the fence about cover gear personally since I can't really identify any. Except the Alucard Sword. That's on the Japanese and European front cover and at least you can glitch to keep that for the whole game.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you know"It's compounded by the fact that actually playing Circle of the Moon on the GBA for too long was not easy on the eyes due to bad lighting. "
Im playing the game in a emulator but...yeah i can get why playing in a GBA would be annoying.
"COTM's problems are that not only can Nathan not run at the start and needs a powerup for that, but the shoulder charge powerup is just not abusable and only good for removing obstacles. Yeah, Nathan's mobility starts out kinda garbage. "
Nathan mobility is weird, they are moment in large corredor were you can just run and jump all enemies(specially if you have to backtrack, which is....a lot) and sometimes he just walk awkardly.
"The controls in Cot M just feel stiff in general. It took me a while to get used to them. "
It dosent help here in my rom since we have controler that look like playstation, discovering that jump is not Up botton but A one(which is more like X button here) which is insane to me, specially since Up+A is necesary to use the weapons, like.....whyyyyyyy?.
damn muscle memory, damn you.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"It's not really a huge issue playing COTM on a backlit GBA SP or an emulator. It was mostly a problem for the original GBA which wasn't backlit.
Is there is a mechanic, power or something you will want to see in a future castelvania adaptaion? I wont mind to see the cards of circle of the moon really, they look fun and would give the next chain weilder something close to magic
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"A little thing I'm curious about: Has it ever been confirmed whether the knights in Castlevania are living servants of Dracula, undead, or just animated armours?
I think it varies depending on the game.
Generally though, I'd assume that in the games where they are called Knights they are zombies wearing armor. And in the games where they are called Armors they are, well, Animated Armor possessed by spirits.
The ones in Bloodlines at least are pretty obviously Animated Armor though, considering the armor isn't full-plate (it wouldn't cover a whole body if it was worn by someone), making it very obvious it is being controlled by some unseen force.
We can probably also assume that the Armors that are impossible for a human-sized being to wear due to their massive size are also Animated Armor.

Disgusted, but not surprisedAlright. I became curious about it, as I'm converting an armored miniature to look close to the knights of the NES-games.
Castlevania fans: I wish Konami would release new Castlevania stuff.
Konami: We're going to sell Castlevania NF Ts!
Castlevania fans: Damn monkey's paw!
Disgusted, but not surprisedWait what?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. The news of this came out recently. Here's a Kotaku article about it.
Kotaku: Konami Celebrates Castlevania's 35th Anniversary With... NFTs
Disgusted, but not surprisedoh for fuck sake. Guess it was too much to hope Konami have improved.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowMan, almost every gaming company seems to have a hard on for NFT and trying to make them a thing.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Getting consumers to spend money on nothing at all is a siren's song that any company would be hard-pressed to resist.
Yeah, its impossible for me to really engage with that selling point, if engage with it at all, when they're so nonsensically restrictive with it. I got done getting them all on my first Switch playthrough, and after that if I play COTM again I'm not even gonna bother, I'm just gonna abuse the glitch. And not having an item that raises their drop rates sucks too. Its a huge "Why bother" kind of deal.
