An appropriate page topper. Though I do lament the seemingly lack of love for it around here.
It hasn't been updated in like forever, it's a very dark/cynical and a bit too realistic(as in lack of fantasy elements) by anime standards for the typical troper taste. Plus only the manga is getting updated and Black Lagoon isn't really mainstream in terms of appeal for anime these days, which typically are more idealistic, loud, exaggerated and even whimsical. Not to mention it's a seinen and the anime is like 10+ years old now.
Still an amazing fucking show. I remember how ten years ago I used to take it at face value.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to Full Metal Panic?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.As far as I'm aware the Light Novel series actually ended. There's still the occasional spinoff and side story but the author's working as a writer with Kyo Ani these days.
Checked on the recent chapter:
Feng and Rock are now investigating Albanian involvement and its links with China via Drejtoria e Sigurimit të Shtetit or the Directorate of State Security back in the Cold War.
Light Novel ended, Gatou Shouji wrote a sort-of sequel, and the anime is being revived in 2018.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. To keep you guys up to date: 92 chapters are currently out.
Chapter 93 is out: (SPOILERS - BE WARNED)
Eda's assisting Rock/Feng with details on the Albanian Mafia and their links to the KLA and the Shigurimi. We also get background on the Race Brothers...
- Monkero - Afro Brazilian
- Roberto - American
- Buckson - Korean-American
Seems that the shit that went down with Feng has links to money laundering in parts of Europe.
The plan Rock/Eda/Feng/Rico are cooking up involves getting Revy out of lockup and use the Roanapur Police Station to get to the net.

Chapter 94's a bit boring, but 95 brought things up to shit.
Chapter 96.
Seems the big guy just walked right through an RPG, but he also predictably flies into a fit of blubbering despair/rage when Revy casually mentions the hillbilly is dead.
The firefight continues. Rock believes in his not-girlfriend.
grahWait there’s actually new chapters coming out?

I'll have to read up on the new chapter soon.
So...is Rock still slowly becoming the most evil character in this whole series like Fabiola believed, or what?
One Strip! One Strip! The newer chapters have Buckseo vs Revy inside the police station. You can pretty much guess who wins.
And yeah, Hiroe-San is on break up to June.

Man, that bat swing by Eda...
...how much ammo did they pump into that big guy if only his boots were left?
grah
Quite a bit, and if that last page is to believed, an rpg to cap this off.
Anyway, it's Chapter 100.
Looks like Feng paid Jane right back. Next chapter's scheduled to be the climax of her arc, and with Revy dancing on stage as an extra.
grahDamn. Revy in a dominatrix outfit.
Wow.
The manga is once again heading to a hiatus to give Shogakukan time to compile the other chapters down.

It's coming back by August next year.
Shogakukan announced on Twitter that Hiroe-San is getting back to work on Black Lagoon, which would be out by May 19.
