Better than my stuff. Basically, once it comes to light that Monique knew about Sleaze, Slick wants Nothing to do with her. No rage, no sorrow, no cussing out. He just threw up his hands and walked away without a word to her because even Acknowledging her would be validation towards her. She's prepared for him to get angry because that would "prove her right". She's prepared for him to be sad because then she can lap up the male tears. But what she wasn't prepared for was...complete Apathy. Not caring anymore hurts her ego because, in her fucked-up world view, she doesn't Matter and is Not Worth Getting Upset over.

The title is so fitting.

This strip is the absolute definition of nothing, filler, and useless. But at the same time that screen is just gonna lend itself for endless pettyfest pettyness and I'm all in for it.

This could be read as condemning Swerfs and Terfs just as easily as Tat's intended targets.

I'd also say that "Structural oppression" would be a good description of a lot of Swerfs and Terf's attitudes towards their targets

Tats baby, TERF and SWERF aren't slurs. It's literally an accurate description of what you believe and have dedicated your life's work to proclaiming to the world. You are a self proclaimed radical feminist. You exclude trans people from your own forum. You believe that all sex workers are victims of the patriarchy and cannot decide what they want to do with their own bodies. You consistently draw these beliefs in your own webcomic, you TERF and SWERF.

Of course the radical feminist is represented by a blackish woman being stoned by white men. Only the most lazy straw men for Tats!

Tats also conveniently forgot to draw a first panel showing the radical feminist punching down on transsexuals and sex workers. She isn't stoned for being black after all. Tats's opponents clearly believe in equal opportunity!

Touching upon radicalism again, there is an interesting phenomenon where they are aware of strategies that they try to take over. This is going to get a bit checkered, but bare with me. In extreme Islam, extremists are taught that it is acceptable to lie to an infidel or to involve innocents in defeating a greater evil. In Antifa circles, they teach violence is acceptable against people who speak "dangerously" which is something an actual fascist would do. There was a viral tweet where a man was falsely accused of rape and a woman said that it was better that an innocent man go to jail rather than claims be doubted when he was cleared.

The same people who claim that TERF/SWERF is a slur use it ironically/humorously (for example: Celina from the forum; she said she made a profile picture with "TERF photo editor"). So they don't REALLY see it as a slur. It's an obfuscation tactic where they try to redefine terms rather than discuss them. Because when you are redefining terms, you don't have to defend them. Andrea Dworkin wrote that the most powerful thing a radfem woman can do is to cry, stating that behind those tears are a cold calculating plan to subvert the male. She even went as far as to say that if the male could comprehend how susceptible he was to those actions, he wouldn't heed her at all. And she is right.

They know they are in the minority, so they will hide behind the previously used tactics of a "victim hierarchy". They would like people to believe that radical feminists are actually a smaller fragment of the population and therefore need to be protected while still claiming a large influential group (including all women, even those who disagree with them).

I know Tatsuya referenced some of these instances where women were attacked, but here is the other thing: Andrea Dworkin also said to use men's anger against them. Not to mention that, but they also believe that our desire to treat women as a protected class "for breeding" is hardwired into us, so therefore men would do whatever they want to keep them from crying.

Did I mention that Andrea Dworkin is freaking nuts?

Point is: they KNOW it's not a slur and is an accurate description of their political beliefs. They are just waving around pretend indignation like a weapon. They also tend to want to offend (at least, the really vocal ones do). I would have to find the quote, but the idea is to use the patriarchy against itself.

Once again, this feeds into mass movements. You want the movement to be small enough to encourage action and growth (who is going to go out and fight when you are winning? "There are plenty of people who will take up the mantle; I can just stay at home." In fact, movements tend to die when they grow too big or fragment), but be large enough to inspire hope, optimism, and the present an illusion that there is the potentiality for a victory. (Nobody is going to fight when the odds appear insurmountable).

Patreon Update: Tats is down five people from last week. His donor base appears to stabilize or even expand a bit when he tells an actual story, but the SWERF/TERF/gender stuff costs him members.

Whoa. That's actually a significant drop after quite a while of stability. Tatsuya is probably still under the assumption that a quick fix is a lasting fix. Nah, he's gotta earn support back if he even can at all. It was a good idea to appeal to the Radfem crowd through Spinster, but he's being too pushy for a group that is going to immediately be suspicious of him. He's a man asking for supposedly oppressed women to support him. Did he not think that through?
