Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought "3d costs less" was debunked at some point? And to answer your question... probably no.
Final Reactions
Edens Zero S2: As expected... Can't wait to see the war against Shura and thus the Nero Empire play out sometime soon!
Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyou Deshita?: The one thing of value here is Char, and even then, it would never compare to the other kid Atsumi Tanezaki lent her voice to that we'll see more of in Fall...
Re: Zom 100 airing schedule Welp. Fine with waiting though.
I’ve always been fine with fully 3D shows. As long as it’s not an Ex-Arm level fiasco.
The cost highly depends on what type of show you’re making. If your vision is an action-heavy anime, 3D animation would be cheaper than hand-drawn.
Sorry, wrong season.

Final impressions for Ao no Orchestra: About as standard as a club anime can get. That might be a little harsh since it unmistakably has soul. However, the production strains in the execution, which does hurt the impact of some scenes, most egregiously in the conflict with Aono and Saeki over their shared parentage. The show juggles its large cast decently enough, but even with 24 episodes, it’s hard to keep track of everyone. The orchestral scores themselves are solid, but as a non-audiophile I struggled to discern any difference in the quality of music. Hopefully the second season tunes things up a bit.
Final Reactions: Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru
My pick for fantasy! The art style's a little above normal, and the action's pretty neat, but for me, it was the background music! Really sets the fantastical mood! Would really want to see another season of this!
SUMMER COUR 2023:
Kinda still as expected of summer cour anime: usually the calm before the storm that is Fall. Only a handful of anime from this cour are likely to last in my memory, but I had my share of fun!

Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai suru. Oerall it was pretty good magic school type series with a few twists. Not much to say here, but I feel the 2 and 3 arcs were definetely weaker than the first one. As they cut some more serios part either way, there was no need to drag them for so long. I may pick up the novels if Kindle version is available but I am not sure yet.
Technically I still have Zom 100 to finish but as it is unknown yet when the last episodes come out, I can consider Summer 2023 season closed. Pretty weak one for me overall but it had a few actually good shows.
P.S.: As for your discussion about full 3d shows. It is cheaper to use if you need to apply the same models for a lot of animations (this is why even in full 3d shows episodic characters or some background plans are made in 2d). I personally do not mind tham as long as they are good quility and 3d overall is justified (like it fits the heave action show but not so much for So L romcom). Talking about studios, Orange and Sanzigen make great 3d shows, for example. And Polygon Pictures style fit well in the shows like Sydonia but ot so much in some other once they made.

Final impressions for Reign of the Seven Spellblades: A better take on Harry Potter, and not only because the author isn't a queer-hating asshole. We have a strong core cast with more or less equal levels of importance in the narrative, navigating the dangers of their magical academy where human lives and rights are secondary to the pursuit of knowledge (akin to Nasuverse Magi). The author also clearly put a lot of thought into the politics, ecology and magic systems of the world, and it's a blast learning more about how things work in every single episode. I can only hope a sequel is in the works, especially with Oliver's revenge plot being a long con, but even if there's none, I think I might actually go and pick up the light novels. And believe me, that's high, high praise.
Random confession:
So when I heard that the anime of Zom 100 got a new OP, my first thought was: Oh, you have the time and resource to make a new OP instead of hurrying up and releasing the new episodes already?!
But now I must admit...I really, really, love the OP. One of my favorites in the past few seasons, actually.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Final episodes of Zom 100 will air all at once on December 25th.
That’s certainly an interesting date they picked haha.
Do anime studios sometimes outsource their opening sequences? Or to other teams in the studio maybe?
Yes, like a lot of Jo Jo openings were made by Kamikaze Douga instead of David Production themselves. And it is pretty common to invite a director and sometimes hire a separate animation team for OP or ED.
Okay, so I initially planned to stop watching manga/anime in general for a while...and then one of my anime watching friends recommended me The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today.
Jesus freaking Christ. I never thought a Slice of Life anime could be THIS engaging!
It helps that recently I started working at home full-time (I'm a webnovelist) and as a result started doing a whole lot more housework by myself.
And the sheer amount of housework abilities Yukichi displays is absolutely awe-inspiring. From time to time I even find myself actually taking housework notes from Yukichi's action.
Screw all the isekai main characters, in my eyes YUKICHI is the most OP protagonist of the season and whose power I want the most.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.IIRC the Puella Magi Madoka Magica OP was made by a totally separate studio who were told nothing about the series, so they just made a bunch of generic "magical girl" stuff up.

I just want a butlercat myself. (Well my ideal scenario is butlerdog, but I’ll take Yukichi, he’s a good boy)
Yukichi is basically an anime version of those chef cats (I don't know the official title) of the Monster Hunter series.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. They are felyne (though some are called palico), and while very helpful Yukichi has them beat, since they can be pretty careless at times and create messes.
Ah, I see. I just saw the clips of canteen cooking.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Finished Masterful Cat. I can't believe just how much I enjoyed this anime!
Yukichi even managed to inspire me a bit and now I actually finished assembling a bookshelf and fix a creaky chair with my own hands.
The final episode of this anime made me feel similar things that I felt with My Dress-Up Darling anime.
On one hand, I want that absolutely amazing and dedicated person in my life, be it Yukichi and Marin...but on the other hand, I should also strive to be that kind of person to someone else.
(Yes, I know Yukichi isn't technically a person but shuddup)
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. We could argue Yukichi is a person given that’s he’s human-like in sapience.

...You know what? Fair points.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Well what do you know, the newest episode of Zom 100 anime is coming out today.
Freaking FINALLY!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Honestly, thanks for the reminder haha.
A week later (it was around when I had technical problems),but I will make a mention of "Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid" season 2, since no one else did (and also asking a question at the end):
I have seen a lot of people still complain about 3d anime (there have been some rather poor cases before), but I have to ask your thoughts and opinions: Would you be ok for one of your favourite mangas being fully 3d like this series, if it meant it also will be fully adapted?
