Glad I managed to read a couple series tonight before I hit the sack.
Is that assistant lady just gonna get sealed inside with the rest?
They've gotta be nuts if they think Maruo wouldn't try and sack every one of them for this. He's really gonna bust their balls for messing with his crew.

We got fighting without any human the wiser and the start of a ritual duel between Maruo and ... not Tamagawa? Oh dear...
That’s was an abrupt jump to the final boss. Goodbye Ayashimon, I loved knowing you.
I’m not sure if you’re being serious, but since we’re dealing with shapeshifters I doubt it’s actually him.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Chapter 23:
Yup, that was Tamagawa disguised as Doppo; although it's more like he cloned him by getting Doppo's trauma or something. Maruo was able to apply what he learned, but when Tamagawa started pumping out Despair, oh dear...
The fool, making him experience despair will only strengthen Maruo.

‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’What's the point of having Maruo fight an exact duplicate of Doppo? Maruo winning would defuse the dramatic tension of facing the real thing unless he got some other advantage to compensate.
A test run? Going into a fight with the copy Doppo, figuring out what he can do and how to fight back makes it less difficult when he faces the real thing, just have the shapeshifter change back once Maruo lands a successful punch. It's why they establish that the guy can't stay in a form for too long.
Maybe, but I highly doubt that is actually going to be permanent.

Ok, this chapter was pretty meta... It's basically Maruo being affected by Yobimizu from a Tamagawa getting too deep into Doppo's personality in the form of him in a writer's room where he's about to kill off his main character - himself. Thankfully, this does not end up happening thanks to, say it with me now, the power of friendship.
Easily my favorite chapter so far. It scared me off with the weight of the axe at first but once everything is clarified, I can't help but love how well the dream sequence is weaved into Maruo's characterization.
This does make me wonder why kind of manga the character Maruo would make. This chapter was spelling out his idea of "manga protagonist" was more "violent glory-seeker" than "person who is deserving of sympathy".
Well, this is set in the 90s. That era of shonen did trend towards the former.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Maruo does reminded me of Goku and his love for fighting and training. Less nakama speeches and more fist to the face. I guess this is the start of his transition to the facepuncher dude with nakama.
I'm not as witty as I think I am. It's a scientifically-proven fact.Ayashimon will end it run on WSJ in issue 26.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieThank you for rushing to post leaks as soon as possible.
Awww... It's been a fun ride... This is actually the first manga I saw rise and fall, and I guess it was nice establishing a place to talk about it even though it was only for a short while.
You will be missed...
Aw, goddammit. I was really hoping against hope it'd dodge the axe. Guess it wasn't meant to be.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Well, that was a chapter I could have liked if I didn’t know this was the end.
Yeah... At least it was able to bring what it gave full circle!
This was a series I saw rise and now fall. It was truly nice to be part of the ride while it lasted!
It was a good ride. Hope Kaku can bounce back and learn from this.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.He's in a weird position: he chose to end a successful series, and his new one ended prematurely before the first one's anime has come out.
That’s some ballsy business choices the foxes and tanukis are making. This is gonna be a tough nut for Maruo to crack.
