It's probably referencing how Ruby still identifies as Sarina even now while grown-up Aqua doesn't see Gorou as anything more than his PTSD ghost.
The OP and ED are bigtime bangers, the latter is my favorite ending so far this year.
Aqua hasn't forgotten, it's just a very secondary factor in his identity.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Heh, this remix amused me:
Chapter 116: Ruby wins the interpersonal auditions by acting like a petulant child.
Also Aqua puts on his best evil face.
Frill seems surprisingly chill with the idea of Aqua wanting to kill his father.
Frill's smarter than she looks, huh. If she can tell from just the script, daddy is sure to find out once production's underway. Aqua might have fucked up here, Akane was willing to die for him and she's still doing it for his sake, and likely to be the biggest obstacle to his self-destructive revenge other than the dad himself.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Somehow, Akane doing anything makes me think Kamiki will kill her.
Frill giving up her role to Ruby makes her less likely, but it still seems like dying is the most the story will let her contribute.
Chapter time. Aqua's going off the deep end, or at least trying to convince himself he is.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.To Hell with it.
I ended up pulling the trigger and watched the first episode of the anime. I can see why it generated such a massive buzz.
As for the manga...I think I'm just going to watch the anime and wait until the manga concludes, judging from I'm hearing about the manga's more recent arcs.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Being?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Definitely a lot to talk about here.
Ch. 116: Love that Akane truly cares for Aqua and is now opposed to Aqua's self-destructive revenge. I always thought this role would go to Kana, but Akane is doing both.
Ch. 117: Aqua showing how much of an asshole he is, but I also feel a part of him is doing it to convince himself not to get too close to Kana and focus on what matters to him. Very much like what I thought would happen to Akane in Ch. 30.
Ch. 118: Aqua and Crow Girl have actually met before? Aqua knows Crow Girl met with Ruby? And Crow Girl confirms Ai will not reincarnate.
"Death is death" but Goro and Sarina died and get to have more chances at life. Wonder if they will go in to why it seems they were chosen to reincarnate.
Also Ruby's mom showing up at the end of chapter? Love this development.
Now finally Episode 6 of the anime:
Masterfully done. There were a lot shots reminiscent of 86 EIGHTY-SIX and I checked to see that the episode director was in fact someone who also directed episodes of 86.
In particular, the shot of the Love Now crew in yukata playing with fireworks and Akane being at peace with the decision she was going to make with the ethereal lighting and then instantly cutting back to reality to see it's dark and the rain is pouring down on her.
Aqua's previous meeting with Yataragasu (?) being omitted seems intentional. It looks to me like she's deliberately trying to manipulate the twins to their self-destruction.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I did not need that does of existential dread, thanks chapter 118. And it does seem like the crow deity has met up with Aqua and Ruby before, I wonder if we'll see how that happened.
New chapter and damn, I don't envy Ruby her previous family at all.
Quick math:
Sarina died at 12. She reincarnated 4 years later. Ruby is 17 years old now.
If Sarina had lived all this time, she'd be 33 years old.
Ch. 119: Sarina's siblings in that photo don't look like they are in their 30's. I think they should be left out of this. It will always be a black mark on Marina Tendouji to have discarded Sarina like that.
Yeah, from her comment about "as long as they're healthy", it looks like she really did discard her broken daughter to die alone in a remote hospital in the boonies. What a piece of shit. If Aqua and Ruby were on speaking terms right now they might out two and two together, but that doesn't seem likely at the moment. Then again they're playing Ai and her killer, so they just might.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Oh did the English release make a translation error on that line?
Remind me to check next Wednesday when the manga comes out in Mangaplus.
Without knowing more about the situation, yeah, Marina Tendouji is a piece of shit.
EDIT: Haven't been talking much about the anime either, but it's been a stellar (heh) adaptation so far. Also I love the ED starting to play just before the episode comes to a close.

Akane's debut episodes in the anime is hitting as hard as I thought it would.
Unfortunately, there's going to be a recap next week.
Yes, and this is damn pity. I really hoped to see the arcs final with two pairs actually dating (even if Aqua only did it for his own gain).

Current: Kids. Their only care in the world is their parents health.
That in mind, I resent that Aqua finds anything Marina did tonight shocking. Is she obligated to bring up to a total stranger that she has a deceased child? Is he mad that she has a social life?
I don't know which potential direction is more odious. Trying to give some kind of moral complexity to Sarina's parents or making them some kind of revenge sidequest for Aqua on his sister's behalf.
Even Urushibara in the Dig Deep arc had sympathetic traits and understandable positions.
Aka leans more towards giving almost everyone nuanced depictions.
I can't parse what you're saying. If you're disagreeing with another post, I can't tell which one.
