Among the growing amount of DIY-channels on Youtube, there are quite a few centered around crafting terrain and miniatures for tabletop RP Gs and wargames. While they have this part in common, there is a huge variety in what type of content is mostly focused on. Some channels are mostly centered around painting miniatures, some on crafting modular terrain from the cheapest materials imaginable, while others are focused on the possibilities offered by 3D-printing.

Some of the channels I follow are:

The DM's Craft

Black Magic Craft

Goobertown Hobbies

Bard's Craft

Wyloch's Armory

The Crafting Muse

In BMC's latest video he demonstrates via modular docks how you can get virtually the same results, regardless what material you choose to use. XPS-foam is very often the material of choice in most crafting videos, so it is easy to forget that other materials can work just as well.
