I can see it now:
Seteth: I warned you about being so close to people during the war in your dragon form but no you just had to walk and fly only a few dozen feet aboe them.
Rhea: Seteth I'm sure it wasn't that bad.
Seteth: It has accurate depictions of your privates! Me, Indech, Cethleann, even Macuil avoided letting them see us, but no you had to inspire them against Nemesis! Well they sure got inspired all right!

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. This is why Flayn has no dragon form, Seteth won't let her.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Just wait until she learns being a dragon will make catching fish much easier, and you can eat much more at once. Nothing will be able to stop her.
Seteth: Flayn, the moat is completely gone! Would you happen to know what happened?
Flayn, noticeably much more chubby: ...No?
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Okay so i observed some arguments on reddit, and wow. It's times like this that i'm lucky i love all the lords, because all the Dimitri vs Edelgard are hilarious. Dimitri killing soldiers makes him as bad as someone trying to conquer his home? The hell? And i gotta love all the must you retaliate jokes.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I'd like to think that after things calmed down, Edelgard will think back to the "Must you continue to reconquer" line and kick herself for it, wondering how the hell she ever thought it sounded like a good thing to say.
Same with Dimitri and his "Even if I must become a rat" statement.
I have made this joke before:
Edelgard: Must you continue to reconquer? Continue to kill in retaliation? Byleth: What? What sort of breed of logic is that? Dimitri: Very well thought out, that argument makes me want to roll over, and let you invade my kingdom. Edelgard:... Shut up. Byleth: Miss Von Hresvelg, surely you improved your oral communication skills in the past 5 years? Ferdinand: Professor, my communications skills have flo- Everyone: NO ONE CARES!!!
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I prefer the Japanese translation there, basically saying “All these deaths are on your hands.”
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. When i look at these localization lines, i think, are these the same guys who came up with the Black knight's i let you win?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Which still doesn't make sense since she started the war.
Also he's there King, Edelgard. He's kind of obligated to fight til the last breath.

I know it’s still incorrect but it’s not stupid.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Out of morbid curiosity, how is Leonie in Japanese?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. This is the same person who takes all night to come up with Black Eagle Strike Force. She's good at speeches and looking at the big picture, but she's awful when it comes to the finer details or needing to actually back up her argument.
It just comes across as hypocritical given her own inclination to fight to the last man and refuse surrender when defeated on all the other routes.
Also, to respond to an earlier point: I don't think the people researching in the library in CF were sent by Edelgard, I think it's the NP Cs from the previous chapter that admitted they don't actually know whether to believe her claims but joined for personal reasons.
"Wait, commoners need education to compete with nobles in academics!?"

Yes yes, Edelgard bad. Regardless the point remains, history is lost, thanks Rhea. I'll be sure to double check the scene.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Part of me wonders what Edelgard's education was like as a kid. First there was the exile to Faerghus, and then being experimented on for who knows how long by TWSITD.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash. To be fair to Dimitri, he says the rat line after five years of living as a hobo with no social interaction, at the height of his mental instability. Edelgard says her retaliation line one chapter away from her victory, in a route where she's at her best both mentally and behaviorally.
Edelgard is just a dork with good ideals, terrible execution and somehow even worse explanation of them.
I came across one tumblr in my search for the lines about Edelgards ending who, living in South Africa, and with a phd in history, finds everything Edelgard does factually wrong because its literally imperialism in every form, and even the rhetoric used to conquer the continent to make it part of a whole has been used in Africa, many, many many, times to instigate bloody conflicts that only result in death.
And they still like Edelgard as a deeply flawed character, unlike Rhea.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Why do they not like Rhea?
They find her to be very uncomfortable as a person. I should go back and look for the explanation why for Rhea for more indepth once I remember the name of the tumblr.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. But that's the best part!
It's an interesting dichotomy. I'd love to be Edelgard's friend but there's no way I can support her. I can support Rhea but I want her to stay the heck away from me.
Yeah that's their opinion too! They can't even force themselves to do BE a second time and would not go SS, despite liking Edelgard as a character but not Rhea.

i cannot unsee it now. Seteth does the Goddess's work.
