So you dislike the High Republic even though by all accounts you haven’t even touched it?

[up][up] I’m just noting that stating “Disney keeps mishandling the IP, also nearly everything they’ve done has actually been good” is a clear contradiction.

And also, [up] yeah. You should probably take a look at the High Republic stuff before claiming it’s bad and has no business being anywhere near this game.

All right, let's give some cliff notes. First the Nihil: Why are they so Chaotic Evil even beyond the Sith (And seemingly even Palpatine, friggin' PALPTAINE!)? They don't have the Dark Side Corrupting them as they aren't Force Sensitives (As a Whole anyway.). The Entire point of the Sith is they are basically meant to be the Ultimate Evil due to the Dark Side being a Corruption of the Force (An aspect of canon I take issue with, I prefer the 2 sides of the same coin the EU took, but George said it's the corruption of it so that's what I'm gonna talk about.), the idea seems to be No One should really be more evil than them. So why a group of Pirates, people who are outside the Law for Profit and because they don't like the law, somehow more Evil and Backstabby than the Ultimate Backstabbers in the Franchise? Even the Vong did what they did Not for the Lulz (At least partially.) and had strict rules to follow and had a purpose and end goal, even a Faith that drove them. It is one of the goofiest things I've ever seen in Star Wars both Canon and EU. You can't even pull the species or culture Card like the Vong. This is made all the worse because they are supposed to be Pirates for the most part, making their constant for the lulz evil even more baffling. Yeah the Leader is unhinged, but how are SO MANY This absurdly over the top evil? The Lightsaber Ships: Uh.......If these are super fast ships that can't be jacked by Pirates and the like and too hard to pilot even if they somehow got it and the Lightsaber needed to pilot it.......Why aren't they around in the Prequel or Original Trilogy Era? You'd think every Force Users would have one of those if they are THAT potent. The Nameless: To put it bluntly, they jacked Darth Nihil's shtick, if your gonna do that, just use Darth Nihil or someone like him. Drengir:............Ok I'll admit, I actually think these things are pretty cool, although the idea that the SITH thought they were too connected to the Dark Side seems......very antithetical to Sith doctrine and values. I'm pretty sure the Sith wouldn't think such a thing isn't possible. The Leader of the Nihil's Species: So yet another Genocidal Bunch of bad Guys with crippling paranoia....Gee, sure ain't seen that before, it's particularly odd in that the High Republic has multiple characters from species typically evil amongst the Jedi or Protagonists (Another one of the few things I DO like is that, I hate the idea of Species/Culture wide morality. Even the Vong broke free of that later.). To be fair, there are aspects (Other that what I stated already.) I do like. Lightsaber Designs I actually kinda like, some of them look pretty neat. Likewise the sheer number of Non-Human characters is also appreciated (I take issue with the focus on Human ones, although that's an issue Franchise Wide both Canon and not, so I can't really give The High Republic too much other than asking why it deviates so heavily from the rest of Canon only to keep one of the things the same that actually would BENEFIT from deviating from it.). And finally the Jedi Order themselves: They seem to tolerate Emotions and the like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than any other point in the Canon or EU, they are WAY too alright with it, one of the big things is 'Emotions need to be kept in check or you'll fall to the Dark Side.', admittedly in other eras this is toned down like Luke and the Old Republic Orders allowing Marriage and the like, those are no longer Canon, and what remains has them be the most open.......and thus vulnerable to Jedi succumbing to the Dark Side (Which Hilariously the Nameless and Nihil would likely cause quite a few cases realistically.). It also begs the question how the Jedi (Or anyone else really, you'd think Palpatine would have looked into ALOT of this and made contingency plans for them out of Paranoia, rather justifiably in these cases.) don't have records of all this, making at least SOME PEOPLE more likely to have prepared their militaries and the like for such things happening again given multiple alien species can live long enough to remember these events. It just doesn't make sense to me. I will say however in spite of all that, while I dislike the High Republic, it does seem Salvageable (With the right writers, I might even change my stance on it.)..........which is far more than I can say about the Sequel Trilogy.

[up] Could we get some paragraph breaks in there, please? Walls of text like this are incredibly difficult to parse.
