Has Zatanna been used at all in the other R Ps? I didn't see any mention of her on any of the character sheets but I realize that doesn't necessarily mean she hasn't been mentioned in some context.

-dramatic music ensues-

Zatanna made a small appearance in Jump City to help fight against Mxysptlk, methinks, but other than that, no.

Working drafts for Lorelei, Fandral and Faradei applications. I'll go with whatever one makes the most sense/is liked the most. Before I do work on their origins, I've got a few questions about the status of Asgard in this RP and whether or not Loki has been being played as a good guy, a straight up hamtastic villian, an insidious plotter or as a flip-flop character?
—————-

Faradei Alias: Faradei of Alfheim
Name: Faradei
Gender: Male
Age: ~290
Apperance: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/ __cb20120628103012/marveldatabase/images/a/ae/Faradei_(Earth-80920).png says it well. Faradei is tall and with long, platinum-blonde hair. He wears a leather overshirt and kilt over a scalemail tunic and greaves.
Alignment: Good (More neutral then good at this point. He isn't a direct enemy of the law or the way of things, but he is dissatisfied with the way of his people.)
Personality: Kind, polite, inqusitive and wanderlust. He seeks to find a place for himself and for his people in the outer world and is tired of the eons they have spent only connected to the outer world by their relations to Asgard and their war against the Frost Giants and Dark Elves.
Powers and Abilities:
  1. Light Elf: Light elves are naturally long lived and have a magical affinity, allowing them to become mages much easier then other races. They are faster then humans and most other races, though not much stronger then them.
  2. Elven Aim: Light elves are exceptionally good archers, due to a natural gift in aiming and in depth perception. Unless he is greatly distressed, it is rare for Faradei to miss a shot with gun, bow or spear.
  3. Dabbler: Faradei knows basic Light Elf magic, enough to heal minor wounds and start minor fires. This is not enough to do more then one can do with a medpack and a box of matches.
Weapons and Equipment:
  1. Multipurpose Longbow & Quiver: A bladed-longbow with a scoping mechanism and a VI-driven quiver. The quiver's VI responds to voice commands in order to give Faradei the correct arrow in any situation.
  2. Twin Lasor Pistols: Two knockoff-Novatech lasor pistols, bought in auction on Faradei's first incursion out of Alfheim. He likes them, but isn't used to their use and will often forget to use them in situations they'd be good for. (Lasors fired by these guns move through glass, but do not bounce or otherwise move with wind/distance. This gives Faradei grief, as he is used to his arrows falling as they reach their target.)
  3. Elven Armor: The basis of this is heavy steel scalemail, though it is designed to weigh less then traditional armor. It is covered by a layer of leather armor and a cloth shirt, giving it a long lifespan and higher durability.
  4. Asgardian Starmap: A starmap of the areas immediately surrounding the Nine Realms, a starmap of the area around Heven and directional arrows showing which way from any realm to another.
  5. Scuttler: A cheap junker of a starship, purchased on the first planet Faradei landed on. It'll last, but it won't last a fight.
Origin:
Comments: Practically an OC due to his very small presence in the comics & in the media as a whole. Only thing I really know about him is 'legolasy-elf who helps Thor protect the realms sometimes', which I tried to develop into a want to break away from isolation and be a part of the grander scheme of things. I'll do an origin later.

Lorelei
Alias: Melodi Laurels
Name: Lorelei
Gender: Female
Age: ~330
Apperance: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/ -dNBJe-nV7Os/AAAAAAAAJ Nk/pX1Xb4nFk4I/s1600/Lorelei_Travis_%2528Earth-616%2529_005.jpg Alignment: Evil (Chaotic neutral, if you will. She isn't intentionally trying to ruin the days of all others or become ruler of the world; she just doesn't see the laws, ways or rules of others as significant to how she lives. Pride is her driving factor, and it's easy enough to get her on the good side if you stroke that.)
Personality: Prideful, jealous and boastful; Lorelei embodies much of the worst traits of Asgard. She is not territorial and is willing to switch plans and think on the fly, but she prefers longterm plans and she prefers to work with others (though often times, she does plan to betray them). She is tired of living in her sister's shadow as a sorceress, and as such is willing to partake in much more risky and non-Asgardian brands of magic then most. She is willing to acknowledge that there are others above her at the time being, but it is her honest belief that she will one day surpass them all.
Powers and Abilities:
  1. Asgardian: Asgardians are between three to four times as strong as a normal human athlete. They have heightened reflexes and even think faster then most human beings.
  2. Sorcery: Lorelei is an accomplished sorceress. She knows a spell for just about everything, though her main field of magic is in mental magic. The most powerful of her mental magics are able to knock people out from a distance, pry into their surface thoughts and implant new thoughts and memories. Through her sorcery, she is also able to fly for extended periods of time and produce oxygen bubbles that last close to an hour.
  3. Alchemy: Lorelei is an alchemist of reknown, capable of brewing love potions and poisons. The most powerful of these potions is able to cause the drinker to fall madly in love with the next appropriate person they see for a month, as long as they remain in close contact for that month.
  4. Warrior: Though not on par with the main military force, Lorelei is an Asgardian and has seen many battlefields. She can hold her own in personal combat with a sword and shield, though she prefers to stay at a distance and attack her opponent's mind.
  5. Allspeak: Thanks to the Allspeak she can communicate in all of the languages of the Nine Realms, Earth's dialects, and various alien languages.
Weapons and Equipment:
  1. Alchemy Kit: Though not nessecary for her craft, she has an alchemy kit that greatly reduces the time and effort required to brew potions and poisons. This is bulky and is often left behind on her ship.
  2. Lorelei's Codex: This is a massive book, catagorizing and explaining how to do every spell Lorelei knows along with her own notes on how to perform each spell. This is highly important to her and she sees it as much a part of her as her own arm. It is normally kept shrunk down and hanging from her right ear as a piercing, though it is sometimes hidden in even more archaic spots if she feels like it is at risk. From the sheer amount of magic enfused in the book, it is immune to all but the most powerful of summoning and detection spells. It can be scried, but scrying can take up to a week to be completed.
  3. Enchanted Polish: A set of enchanted lip polishes crafted by herself and her sister long ago. While they are not the hardest to make, it was her and her sister working together that produced this strong blend. If she loses this, her recreation will be much lesser. There are two types of polish: enthralling and petrifying. The enthralling polish allows the wearer to take control of someone's mind for a day when kissed on the lips (though people with stronger will are taken control of for less time. That time is even more lessened if they are forced to do something that breaks a moral code of theirs.). The petryifying polish allows the wearer to turn someone to stone for a day when kissed on the lips (though if said stone is broken, that person will experience extreme pain and exit the stone rather then be destroyed.)
  4. Shockblade: Lorelei has a stolen human shockblade. Six foot long and shaped like a blade, this has no actual edge. It simply shoots a highly powerful electrical shock through what it hits, likely knocking them out and frying electronics on them. (Basically a high powered taser, shaped like a sword. It goes off on contact.)
  5. Starjammer & Asgardian Starmap: Lorelei owns an Asgardian starjammer, which she is able to use to navigate through the cosmos when equipped with a good map of the realms. She also owns a starmap of the areas immediately surrounding the Nine Realms, a starmap of the area around Heven and directional arrows showing which way from any realm to another.
Origin:
Comments: Takes a big step away from the comic version that I've seen. In the comics, she was always more interested in men in general then in actual magic. I've decided to push away from that in her 'reboot', having her be more magic-focused and more attempting to form her own image seperate from her sister.

Fandral
Alias: Fandral the Dashing
Name: Fandral
Gender: Male
Age: ~600
Apperance: https://upload.wikimedia.org/ wikipedia/en/c/cf/Fandral%2C_publicity_still_from_Thor_The_Dark_World%2C_Nov_2013.jpg says it better then words, really. MCU-style apperance for Fandral.
Alignment: Good (Neutral good, if you're thinking in D&D standards. He sees the law as a good baseline for life, but it's not the end all. Freedom is as important as things going the right way.)
Personality: Fandral is a cheerful, alcoholic flirt who hides his many doubts beneath his happy-go-lucky exterior. He strongly believes in working for a better future and in personal action, meaning he prefers to be on the front lines of things. He puts a strong emphasis on bonds, both chosen and familial as a result of his upbringing without knowledge of his parentage and as a result of his many years as a part of the Warriors Three. Deep down, he thinks people are good but are twisted by others or by fate into acting against their predispotions. Though he is a flirt, he has trouble keeping serious relations and is known to prefer the company of his warrior-brothers to his lovers. Fandral holds Loki in higher esteem then most Asgardians, though his devotion to Odin outweighs this.
Powers and Abilities:
  1. Asgardian Warrior: Compared to a human, Fandral has super strength and endurance. He is about three to four times as strong as a general human athlete and has learned to use and predict the basic fighting styles of all of the Nine Realms from his many years as a member of the Warriors Three.
  2. Master Swordsman: Fandral is a master with any sword. Having learned the best of Asgardian and Midgardian swordplay, he can easily wither down most opponents through prolonged dueling.
  3. Extended Lifespan: Fandral will live for ten thousand years, if he isn't struck down by blade or illness.
  4. Allspeak: Thanks to the Allspeak, he can communicate in all of the languages of the Nine Realms, Earth's dialects, and various alien languages.
Weapons and Equipment:
  1. Dwarf-forged Blade: His sword, nicknamed 'Firehooves', was crafted by dwarven smiths under the order of Odin ages ago. It is crafted to be almost unbreakable, never dull and be as lightweight as paper. There is one charm on it that will cause it to return to it's sheathe after twenty-four hours, but this was layered later on and is breakable by a magician of any merit with basic spellbreaking knowledge. The sword is long and double-edged. The pommel is engraved to look like a flaming horse.
  2. Dwarf-forged Chainmail: His basic armor, a chainmail shirt and leggings, were crafted by dwarven smiths under the order of Odin ages ago. They are crafted to be lightweight and almost unbreakable, giving him a perfect defence against slashing weapons and a strong defence against many guns. However, this does nothing against blunt weapons or against attacks to his nonarmored body parts.
  3. Starjammer: Fandral owns an Asgardian starjammer, which he is able to use to navigate through the cosmos when equipped with a good map of the realms. As it stands, he is currently without such a map and is close to running out of fuel for his Starjammer. His Starjammer has been remodeled to allow use of the turret while piloting, though as a result it is slightly harder to steer.
Origin:
Comments: Little about him to make him super unique, but that can be a good thing. He's a generic hero-type fellow, lost in the stars and looking for a way home/looking to do good on his name and the name of Asgard in general.

didn't mean to do hotlinked images, woops. just get rid of the space in between the image parts and it should work.

Despite my dislike for non-good characters, I admit your take on Lorelei makes her the most interesting option, in my opinion.

Thinking of a Rebooted Venom, wanted to ask that's ok in this continuity.

[up]Not yet. Still attached to Spider-Man. You can do another symbiote character that's not named Venom and a host that's not from Earth.

Currently being used on the New York Thread and yes, it is on Reyes.

You could play as Green or Black Beetle, though. Sure they're villains, but if Kaji-Da could break free of The Reach's control, why not them?

Allllllllllllll righty. The appointed hour approaches, and that means last minute prep-time for all concerned. I'm gonna do a roundup on all the signupees thus far.

Alioth, any one of those characters look good to me. Please put your favourite in a post all of its own, and if you can, fix the pictures. You can link to a picture by going [[puttheurlhere and then some text]]. However, I've heard that for some dumb reason newly joined tropers can't post links to pictures, so I don't know if that'll work or not.

Hawkgirl
Alias: Shayera Hol
Name: Shayera Hol
Gender: Female
Age: 63
Apperance: Hawkgirl. She wore a thanagarian headdress during her run as a police officer, but after leaving Thanagar she has abandoned it.
Alignment: Good (Shayera was a career cop on a planet with virtually no crime. She has strong views of what is right and wrong. When she saw people trying to use an unstable monster as a weapon against slavers, she saw it as a terrible evil rather then as a cold but workable suggestion that many anti-heroes or dark knights would have saw it as.)
Personality: Shayera is happy and open, though she has some problems with overconfidence. She has clear morals and is willing to help people anywhere she goes, thinking of it both as an obligation and as an opportunity: an opportunity to save and help others and an obligation to better herself by doing so. Shayera is willing to work with villians if they agree to abide by her moral code, but she refuses to use tactics that she finds to be morally gray (unleashing monsters on other monsters, for example.)
Powers and Abilities:
  1. Thanagarian: Long lived and much more durable then the average human, the thanagarians are a race apart from most in the cosmos. Aging progresses closely to that of humans until puberty it hit, after which it passes at a much slower rate. While a twelve year old thanagarian is akin to a twelve year old human, a thirty year old thanagarian is closer to an eighteen year old; and a hundred year old thanagarian is closer to a thirty year old human. Beyond that and their enhanced endurance, thanagarian sight is much better then that of a human with even twenty-twenty vision. Their hearing is on par with a human with minor hearing damage.
  2. Flight: Like almost all thanagarians, Shayera Hol was born with the wings of a hawk. Wings aren't actually enough for Thanagarians to naturally fly, but generations of exposure to Nth Metal radiation has allowed them to fly and use the wings to steer and control their flight.
Weapons and Equipment:
  1. Nth-Metal Mace: Shayera's weapon of choice. The folding of the Nth-Metal of the mace has made it capable of breaking through magical barriers and auras, allowing her to divert spells and take down magicians in personal combat.
  2. Nth-Metal Belt & Cuffs: Standard Thanagarian wear, enhancing natural flight abilities and looking very stylish.
  3. Communicator: A highly advanced pocket radio. Not much more too it then that. Standard issue for Thanagarian police officers.
Origin:
  • Shayera Hol went to a military academy on Thanagar, like most of her family had. After a short run in the military, Shayera changed her course and became a cop on Thanagar. While she saw it as a noble calling, many others saw it as a waste of her talent: after all, Thanagar was a society without real crime. Choosing to be a cop there was often just taking the easy way out.
  • Hol worked for many years as an officer, taking down many attempted criminals and saving dozens of lives. Though Thanagar was a society without real crime, Shayera came to understand that was because of the work of people like her and not out of the general goodness of the Thanagarians.
  • Shayera got a lead during one of her routine patrols on a growing cult. She investigated into this, but was blocked at many opportunities by other members of the force because of the specifics of the lead. She needed to go and investigate into a high ranking thanagarian military officer, but the politics of Thanagar had made the military practically untouchable.
  • Shayera broke orders, turning in her badge to a fellow officer quietly and going to investigate for herself. Breaking into the officer's house, she found what she was looking for: in a hidden room in his spire of a house, she found dozens of men and women chanting and preparing rituals. She recognized some of them as her fellow students from the Academy, even. Before she was spotted, Shayera heard some of the speech of their leader: these men were plotting to summon the eldritch abomination that had tormented their people and demanded millions of sacrifices, Ixthulhu, within space controlled by their people's enemies: the Gordanians. Shayera knew she couldn't beat the gathered cultists in a battle and knew that they would soon notice her, so she used a tactic she had learned from years of fighting criminals: she created a diversion to distract the cult. She did this by starting the building on fire.
  • In the chaos of the fire and the building's response to the fire, Shayera struck at the panicing cultists and managed to knock their leader comatose. The other cultists swarmed towards her and she ran, jumping through a window and flying off to her home. She wasn't pursued by the cultists (as she had jumped through a glass window and none of them really wished to hurt themselves that bad to get after this woman), but she had been recognized by some and she knew it. The fire and her attack on the cultist leader were covered up by the remaining members of the cult to prevent investigation into what had been going there in the first place, but Shayera knew she wouldn't be lasting long if she stayed on planet. She fled Thanagar and headed towards Nova space, hoping to forge a new life protecting the people there.
Not any of the three characters I was planning on, but remembering the Thanagarian invasion arc from the DCAU made me want to do Hawkgirl (and holy shit that was unfortunate wording i shouldn't be writing this at 3AM). This interpretation of her is pretty obviously based on that run. It's also where Ixthulhu came from, and where I got the idea for the cult. If that's not an acceptable origin, I can change it to something more minor, but this should provide some ideas for Thanagarian NP Cs and gives Hawkgirl a reason to be out and about without being a Thanagarian spy/herald to invasion/reincarnation of a crazy egyptian lady.
