Shara Ishvalda turns to face Viserys. It rises up on its hind legs and holds its wings over its shoulders. Just as it prepares to fire, the Spartan Laser hits it, causing it to stumble.

Its gaze now fixes upon Joshua. It uses the same attack it had just been about to use - a crisscrossing pattern of wind-beams centered on the target - only this time, focused on the Spartan.

21:41.

After firing its retaliatory attack, Shara Ishvalda's gaze turns to Samsara.

Awkeff blasts flames at the Infinity Sword with her free hand to power it up.

Toothless swoops around, waiting until Shara stops blasting air, then tries to tackle it down.

Omega Rey happens to be a bit too close to Joshua and gets hit by an errant beam, dispelling his Harrowhawk. He responds by invoking the spirit of Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth, causing his body to turn golden like a statue.

"I am. Most astute. I am General Zod, of the High Council. I only once saw your father, in passing."

Zod puffs up his chest.

"So... come with me."

Maelstrom finally achieving a physical form felt pleased with himself. He had chosen his typical gray and white mage armor hooded to show that he cared not for a face but instead elected to use a storm cloud with lightning arcing to form his features.

Ah much better I've been confined to that ball for far to long and contained within him for ages it feels wonderful to be my own being once again

He would make a throne of clouds to sit upon as we pondered on what to do next. Hell was definitely not what it used to be. Covered in a mist created by the Lake and far more dull and damp than it had been in ages past. is there no current ruler he wondered if that was the case he knew who would rise to the throne. With disgust he cast a bolt of lighting straight into the sky damn that beast Famine he wouldn't know the first thing about ruling a civilization he would just muck it all up and get dethroned not a century later poor bastard. perhaps I could rule it myself before he got the chance to reignite the flame

Maelstrom chuckled at the idea it had never really been his style to lead any army he preferred to roam free among the lands, spreading disasters where ever he could. However this idea seemed to keep gnawing at the back of his mind he and the others were obviously re-birthed for a purpose. He could always try to confide in War they were always the closest when it came to the four of his fellow comrades. The flaming tornadoes of Hellfire they would make to ravage the ancient Egyptians as God had asked them to was quite fun and it sparked their bond for ages to come.

Suddenly a feeling of dread passed over Maelstrom he could feel his old prison moving closer to him. He scanned the horizon and spotted him. Mist much darker than that of the lake was moving towards him at an astonishing rate.

He's awakened as Maelstrom turned to run he appeared there fist clenched and struck him sending him several kilometers away.

Maelstrom slid across the ground eventually flipping himself back upwards and unleashed torrents of lightning at    The Harbinger   .

   The Harbinger    shifted back into a misty form allowing the lightning to pass through him though still it electrified him sending arc throughout the himself and forcing him to materialize once again it would appear this trick didn't work on this entity. He knew if he was going to get more of himself, his history, an his name back he would need to absorb this soul into himself. He rose and rushed the entity dodging more torrents of lightning that it was firing at him. He was faster than him that was for sure but for how long could he dodge and how much more of these attacks could he take, he didn't wish to find out he had only just been reborn after all.

Maelstrom knew the only way    The Harbinger    could win would be to touch him and absorb his being into his own it was how the demons had originally captured them all with this one having the innate ability to absorb souls and take their powers as his own. Maelstrom kept up the attacks sending bolt after bolt of lighting at his opponent it was only a matter of time before he landed one, Or so it would seem but all of his attacks were dodged and only his first torrent landed.

I was supposed to save power up to fight Famine but i suppose you are more of a problem now he proceeded to summon multiple F-5 tornadoes all crackling with lightning and threw these at    The Harbinger   .

   The Harbinger    finally saw his opportunity he turned himself into his misted form and cut through each of the tornadoes and rushed the entity solidifying and grabbing his throat. He began to leach away this entity's power and absorb it into himself. Finally he knew his name or perhaps it was more of a title The Harbinger they called him. The one who pulled the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to their knees in the first war against Hell and Heaven but nothing else. He felt again another sense of direction sending him to west in search of    Conquest    another of these Four Horsemen.

Hell shook as he finished absorbing the soul of Maelstrom and he knew he was the reason and felt oddly calm about it as he started his way west

Samsara grunts and begin to back off, aware that an attack was coming. Lucina, perhaps foolishly, definitely bravely, swing Aether at the creature's face.

"Look out!"

"Yeah, ye-"

The spartan was caught in the crossed stream of razor sharp wind, being thrown back and into one of the walls of the arena they were within. He grunted loudly in pain, disoriented by the dragon's attack. He started to stand again, but from the looks of it his Gauss Cannon was damaged far worse than he was.

"Damn it."

Filia rose into the air, flying to Zod. The demoness stared the Kryptonian in the eyes,

   "I assume you're taking me to Narktus then?"   

Her presence was just as cold and unnerving as her fathers, perhaps moreso.

Viserys flashes a grin at Awkeff.

   "Have I ever told you just how much I admire your... fiery passion, Fahliil Lokaliin?"   

He winks at his wife before shifting his attention back to the clash at hand, swoops down towards Shara Ishvalda, and attempts to stab it with the Infinity Sword.

Parts Broken

Aether breaks Shara Ishvalda's head. Unfortunately, that only makes it look worse.

It plants its wingtips and vibrates until it sinks through the ground, disappearing completely unlike its armored form.

Then its wings emerge from the opposite end of the battlefield, briefly taking on a formation reminiscent of a spider's legs, before pulling the rest of it out of the ground.

22:05.

It starts roaring again, causing the small pockmarks of liquid sand still remaining to explode, though nobody is in likely danger of being hit.

Reyna reenters the fray from above. It's Hammer time once again. This time, however, instead of trying to hit Shara Ishvalda from the air, she lands normally and approaches the Shepherds.

Awkeff simply smirks at Viserys. "It would seem we have it on the run... perhaps." She launches more Tenebrae sword beams.

Toothless misses due to the Incredible Sinking Shara, crashing into the ground. He turns to face Shara as it emerges and begins to prowl closer, but he's begun to limp.

Zod answers with a smirk. "Correct. We depart as soon as possible."

Samsara and Lucina glance at her, preparing themselves for the Shara Ishvalda's future strike.

   "Well then, let's press our advantage and bring this battle to an end, dear."   

Viserys launches a couple of fire blasts from the Infinity Sword at Shala Ishvalda.

The Spartan grabs his Gauss Cannon from the ground next to him, the barrel still white hot from the previous blast. It was damaged, but still usable. He certainly couldn't charge up large lasers for the rest of the battle. Joshua finally ran back into the fray, blasting small bursts at the beast's head.

"Can you just die already? Your eyes give me the creeps."

"You realize it can't understand you right?"

   "Well, shall we go then?"   

Filia floated still in the air, waiting to follow Zod wherever he went.

Shara Ishvalda slams a foreleg down in front of itself, followed by a quick blast of air from its wingtips. Not targeted at anyone in particular, except those dumb enough to run right in.

"I was thinking of trying to mount it," Reyna tells the Shepherds. "The hard part is getting on top of it. I could get you up there, if you think you can keep your grip."

"Guess it's not over quite yet," Awkeff observes. She braces herself and tries charging up her Plasma Cannon spell again.

Toothless spits more plasma of his own at Shara Ishvalda. The poor Night Fury is getting weary and weak...

Omega Rey rushes in with a flurry of slashes, his gold form tanking the air-beams without flinching.

Zod lands in front of Filia and activates a teleportation device, whisking the two of them away...

   "I have an idea, Awkeff: combine that spell you're preparing with mine and let's see how powerful the end result is!"   

As his hands begin crackling with electricity once again, Viserys unleashes a Lightning Storm at Shara Ishvalda.

I wouldn't mount it now. says Samsara, witnessing the spell with Lucina.

The Spartan continued to fire low power blasts from his cannon, just hoping it would do something as he continued running toward the beast.

"Let's give this beast a light show."

The Spartan neared his target, letting one of his hands loose from the cannon. He prepared a sticky made with one hand, and dragged his damaged Gauss Cannon across the ground.

Filia observed the teleportation device before being whisked away. Where did Zod take her?

Shara Ishvalda stands up on its hind legs and begins sending vibrations every which way, accompanied by its 'song' (which I can't describe in words but if you've watched the video I've been linking with sound on, you'd probably hear it during many of the big attacks), turning a wide area of sand to liquid to try and sink its foes.

"HRAH!" Awkeff launches the green blast of roiling magical plasma, which flies like a bullet to Shara Ishvalda before stopping and exploding powerfully.

The combined Master-level Destruction spells make Shara Ishvalda stagger back and drop down on all fours, but the damage of its song may have already been done. It's now looking at everyone; that is, each combatant perceives it to be looking at/past/through themselves individually.

"... Good point," Reyna replies, placing her footing carefully. "Still, we had best be ready. If the others don't finish it off, it could hit us back just as hard." She offers the 'hook' end of her grappling hook to Samsara.

Toothless falls into the sand, ending up half-buried with his upper body sticking out. He panics and struggles to try and pull himself out.

Omega Rey falls into the sand as well. "How would Rbade put it? This situation calls for... WOOOORRRRRRMS!" He summons a quartet of Spinewyrms that swim into the sand to pull him out... and then his gold form runs out, making him way more vulnerable than he was before. He runs to a safe distance.

Space Fortress Gravitas

Zod and Filia appear in the computer room.

"We have arrived. Now stay put." Zod presses a button on the wall to alert Narktus.

The Spartan narrowly manages to miss being pulled into the sand, activating the covenant plasma grenade. He attached it to his Gauss Cannon, and threw it at the beasts face. A moment later it would explode with incredible force, and should deal hefty damage.

Joshua then noticed Toothless, running up to the dragon and tried his damndest to pull the night fury out the sand.

"Come on big guy, get up out of there."

Filia acknowledged Zod with a nod of her head, and leaned up against a wall. She waited for Narktus, why would her father want her here?

Lucina also attempt to help Toothless. Samsara, meanwhile, nod and grab the hook.

Viserys meets Shara Ishvalda's horrific gaze as he raises the Infinity Sword, then hurls the fiery blade straight at its goddamn head with all of his might.

The exploding plasma grenade + gauss cannon breaks Shara Ishvalda's forelegs, caving in the scaly hide over them - but sadly not the actual bones. With the Infinity Sword now lodged in its left eye, yet still undying, Shara Ishvalda rises up on its hind legs again with a hateful roar and raises its wings over its head, curling its wingtips inwards like the fingers of two hands curled around a ball.

It continues roaring, accompanied by its song as it begins to manifest a torrential storm of wind and vibrations. As if to emphasize how dangerous this attack is, there is even a crackling noise akin to a stock anime power-up SFX.

A gigantic ball of vibrating air manifests between Shara Ishvalda's wings. As it drops back down to all fours for what may be the last time, its wings swing forward and slam dunk the sphere into the ground, causing an utterly titanic explosion of wind, dust, and rock!

6:55. If you're confused by the guy tanking it, that's a defensive build designed to withstand literally everything at the potential cost of damage output. Nobody in the Arena fight is this specced out. I only chose this video because it gives you a really good look at the animation.

"NOW!" Reyna performs a Jump angled in the direction of Shara Ishvalda, letting her grappling hook extend, then tightens the cord and hurls forward with all her might, launching Samsara at the Old Everwyrm's back (think Ice Climbers' Belay from Super Smash Bros.)! This keeps Samsara well out of the reach of the fucknormous blast, but Reyna gets hit dead-on as a result.

Awkeff uses her last resort - her Time Stop power - and freezes time. She repositions herself to safety, but just before she can move to aid Viserys, it runs out and time resumes.

Toothless bares his teeth and snarls. It takes some time, but eventually he finds the strength to push, and the others are able to pull him out of the sand. He then promptly swings his tail at Lucina and Joshua, trying to shove them out of the way of Shara Ishvalda's attack as the sand beneath his feet explodes! When it settles, the Night Fury has fallen still, down on the ground.

Omega Rey, who actually has some clue what's happening, dives for safety. As he picks himself up, he uses his last prepared trump card.

He starts whistling. But it's not just any old tune. A radiant light showers down upon the battlefield.

The fight's almost over, so pick whatever buffs come to mind for your characters and go nuts.

After a minute, Narktus comes in, trailing blood from his hands that seeps through the cracks in the gauntlets.

He sizes up Filia. "So... looks like you're the real deal. Filia, right? Excuse my mess, there was... an incident, recently, that had me in a panic. The situation has been resolved now."

The explosion blows Viserys right out of the sky, sending him crashing to the ground as his Dragon Aspect fades.

"Argh... I'm okay, Fahliil Lokaliin! I just need to get my sword back and send that thing straight to Oblivion..."

As he pulls himself back up, the Nord Dovahkiin suddenly feels a significant boost to his magica, courtesy of Mothra. Cracking his neck, he proceeds to let loose by unleashing a... sizable barrage of fireballs and Thunderbolts in Shara Ishvalda's direction.

Samsara is saved from the blast, but witness its destruction. Entering Archdemon mode, she grabs her Dual Swords and attempts to swing at the beast with Astra, critting about three times while doing so !

Lucina is saved by the tail whip, but get up shakily, even with Mothra's boost. Empowered by the light, she attempts to go for a piercing Shield Breaker after leaping all the way over to it!

Joshua was saved by the Night Fury, narrowly. He certainly felt saddened by the black dragons seeming death. Although that feeling was soon replaced with a feeling of raw power. The Spartan was overflowed with incredible physical strength. He rushed Shara Ishvalda, and just punches it since that's all he can do at this point.

   "Indeed I am Filia. My father sent me messages, they were clouded and brief. All I could gather was your name, the symbol of Gravitas, and the name of your organization. I dont fully understand my father's message, would you mind expanding on it?"   

Filia leaned up against a wall, letting out a deep exhale. The demoness looked around the room, she hadn't seen anything quite like this before.

Samsara's blades dig deep into Shara Ishvalda's back.

She had better keep them lodged in and hold on tight, because as Shara Ishvalda at last enters its terrible throes of death, it rises up and thrashes about, roaring - no, screaming to the heavens, sending the Infinity Sword flying and clattering to the ground!

And at last...

Slayed!

The leviathan, the Old Everwyrm, the Earth Singing Dragon, the First of the Five, Shara Ishvalda, falls to the ground... and goes still, its horrible eyes closing.

Songs of Triumph in the Winter Sky

Reyna slowly picks herself up, only to immediately fall down again. Now down on her face, she looks up at the body of Shara Ishvalda. "Okay... I think I might've broken something. But... we did it! We won!"

Awkeff huffs and pants. "At last... that terrible beast..." She falls to her knees.

"Wooooooh!" Omega Rey runs over to Toothless, attempting to use what limited power over death he has to stabilize and heal the Night Fury.

"Certainly." Narktus clears his throat.

"Gravitas is an organization dedicated to amassing an army of powerful beings from between realities. I seek to crush those who oppose me, and to that end I have arranged a system of deals. Members of Gravitas help me in my efforts to take revenge on they who forsook my universe, and the forces of Gravitas help them with whatever they want... as long as their desires will not impede me."

Samsara sighs and slide off the beast, too exhausted to stand, though Lucina help her up.

"By Talos... we've finally slain that horror."

Viserys retrieves the Infinity Sword, returns it to its sheathe, and moves to Awkeff's side before sitting down beside her to take a breather.

"We should celebrate this victory... with a well-deserved trip to Eastmarch's hot springs. What say you to that, Fahliil Lokaliin?"

He wraps an arm around his High Elven wife and fellow Dragonborn, offering her a smile.

After the beast fell once more, the Spartan did not believe for half a second it was still dead. He continued to hold himself in a battle stance,

"Dot,"

"On it."

His AI companion attempted another scan for signs of life from the beast.

Filia sighed, and thought deeply for a few minutes. She was leaned against the wall unmoving, her hand on her chin.

   "I would say you were a Warlord but you seem to be much more than that. Your organization sounds incredible, and my father would not have sent me here if you were not of incredible strength. Has he sent me here to join your ranks?"
