This fight far more brutal than his encounter with Pepsiman and IM Meen was! Its magnificent!

He waaas in evil delight, and chucks his can of Coke as hard as he can at Morpho.

Anyone within view of Megan would see her sitting cross-legged on the ground, doing a breathing exercise of sorts. The color of her scales is slowly fading back to her skin color as her heartbeat returns to a base level. Her sword and gun are still strapped to her, despite all the tumbling through the canopy above. She opens one eye every now and again, checking her surroundings. She eventually sees the semi-draconic individual approaching her. Well, at least they don't loo— wait, are those wings mechanical? That's a bit odd, she thought to herself. Doesn't matter, I guess, as long as they work.

"So... did you happen to catch which way that dragon went? I've been tailing it for months," she said, making an effort to be polite. "The name's Megan, by the way."

Morpho Knight ducks under Neuff's uppercut, rolls out of the way of Nicole's kick, and parries the first part of Mitch's barrage before getting struck by the second. Waluigi's Coke can lands next to him. He takes it in his free hand and drinks it. As he has never consumed any fluids except water and flower nectar before, he would have no idea that it's not supposed to taste the way it does.

"There are a number of reasons for you to change back into a human form. Care to tell me which one?" The person asks, stopping and floating in the air a short distance away. "No, I got here after it already left. It can't hide forever, though." Megan should notice something odd about his wings - they aren't flapping, they're just hanging there.

"Well, that's one way to create a distraction." Mitch comments telepathically. Not letting an opportunity go to waste, He melts the rocks beneath Morpho Knight, then sprays it up into a lava geyser.

She focus intensely and let him drink.

"I'm not a dick, geez."

Then she fire plasma blasts at Morpho, before attempting to hammer him into the ground with a strong double-axe handle

Nicole fires a few Arcane Orbs at Morpho Knight, then aims a series of slashes at him with her Killing Edge.

He is displeased that he appears to have missed Morpho. And most displeased that he drank it!

He takes out another one, shakes it real hard, and chucks it at Morpho as hard as he can with a deafening booming "WAAAAAAAaaaaaa…"

Megan chuckles a bit. This isn't the first time that she has been confused with a half-dragon, but she would have thought that an actual half-dragon wouldn't have been confused.

"This 'form' is the only one I have. My scales are are always on me, just not always visible. If you're asking about the breathing exercise, I needed to get a clear head — I've arrived in a new world, with all sorts of troubles of its own, I'm sure," she said, standing up slowly. "Still, at least I know it can't go anywhere for a while — the ability or device that it uses seems to take at least two months to charge back up.

The nearly-faded scales along her neck, nose, forehead, and the backs of her hands, as well as her eyes, briefly pulse blue as she activates her Dragonsenses, and the world instantly becomes awash with information. New smells, sounds, sensations, and sights unfurl around her, and she focuses in on the sound of battle. As she does, she notices the stranger's wings, and the curious way that they float, as if simply decorations.

Well, that's magitech if I've ever seen it, she thought.

Morpho Knight reflexively crushes the can in his hand when he realizes what's happening beneath his feet. Then Waluigi's shaken-up can hits the ground in front of Morpho Knight and explodes, blinding him with fizzy goodness and aluminum shrapnel.

In the moment that Morpho Knight is blinded, the rest of the attacks all hit him at the same time. As the lava recedes, he floats up into the air, glowing white, before he explodes into golden fire-butterflies. Morpho Knight dies painfully, save for the refreshing taste of Pepsi still in his mouth, the first dick move he has not regretted making.

"He's gearing up for war."

She waves and teleport away

Nicole merely stares at the exploding Morpho Knight before returning the Killing Edge to its sheathe.

"So, uh... anyone know what that thing was and why it attacked us?"

Waluigi is dissapointed that the fight ended so quickly. Waluigi is disappointed that the closest he was able to get to throwing and accurate Coke can was getting it to explode in front of his target.

He gives a halfhearted "waaa…" and wanders off.

Mitch does a suppressing downward motion, cooling the lava back into earth. "He'll be back, and it won't be nearly as easy next time. We have a few moments of peace, though, at least." He says to the others. "Do you wanna check out that thing earlier, or do something else?"

"Option A and Option B both sound pretty fun, but I've gotta take care of a few other things. Peace out!"

Nicole spreads her dragon wings, then flies off into the distance.

GTG for RL reasons.

"Fair enough." Mike appears to follow suit, gradually retracting some of his draconic features until he looks just like a regular human in sleeveless Power Armor - the wings aside, that is, and he resembles a mechanical angel more. "That should give you plenty of time to find it, then."

Seeing parts of her body glow blue, Mike taps something on his wrist, shining a faint light as he performs a basic scan.

Megan can hear the a distant waaaaing, and chooses to deactivate her Dragonsenses after that. This place is already getting weird...., she thought. She watched Mike's draconic features recede, and understood what he was talking about when he mentioned taking "human form". She also noticed the scanning going on, and chose to not say anything about it.

"Is there anything I should know about around here? Any cities or outposts or anything? Oh, and I don't think I actually got your name, there," she said, her eyes glancing between the scanner and Mike's wings.

Seeing Megan reacting to the waaaa, Mike frowns in agreement. "Yes, I can hear it too. It's fucking annoying." He takes a deep breath and clears his throat.

"Anyway, this world is called the Arena. You usually can't die here - the few times we've observed otherwise, or almost so, usually happen to coincide with particularly climactic battles, so you should be fine. There are plenty of ruins in this region - if that's not your style, there's a city further out in the Primordia area, though that's mostly empty as well. Speaking of which, most of the people here come and go, and we've concluded that this world has no natural inhabitants of its own." Following all this information is a loud exhale.

"Mikhael Andrea Garrett." Mitch's teasing voice comes from nearby, travelling here after the fight and having shed his armor. "Although you can just call my brother Mike." It should be noted that they look nothing alike currently, and especially not when compared to Mike's other appearance.

Megan's lips curl into a devious smile at this information. "Can't die, you say, except for climatic pitched battles? Well, sounds like I'm in a Warrior's Heaven. And I know a Dragon who has been long overdue for a climatic battle of vengeance... But I should explore this place first, get to know the land and the resources. Thank you, Mike. What's the deal with the fighting, by the way?", she said, adjusting her long coat. A few potion vials can be seen along the inside, with all sorts of strange concoctions within.

She turned to Mike's brother, expecting... something. Some part of her combat instincts were buzzing, but she didn't know why. It might have just been the unfamiliar environment, of course. "Are there any other dragonkin or draconic beings around here, not including myself and that Elder Dragon?"

"A merc, currently on the payroll of a particularly dangerous criminal. We usually stay out of other people's businesses here, but she's threatening a lot of the good guys. Even so, we're only tangentially involved." Mitch explains a bit. "I'm Mitch, by the way. Are those boosters of some kind?" He asks, pointing to the potions.

"Also, if she starts to threaten us and there's no one else around, we'll be in trouble." He frowns again. "There are some dragonkind around, but we haven't gone out of our way to contact any. We're generally more interested in technology."

Megan assumes a more pensive stance, her hand on her chin, trying to recall if she has heard of any such criminals. After a time, she decides that this individual must be a new problem-causer.

"Hmm... troubling, indeed, " she muses, with no names coming to mind. "Hmm? These? I brewed these up myself. Some are boosters, true, but others, not so much."

] She takes out one of phials, empty, with a kind of silvery residue left on the inside. "This one, for instance, was a Mutator for Fiendish Hands. I might need to rework the formula on it, though. It didn't seem strong enough, given that I was using it and still fell off that damnable Tyrant Dragon."

Turning to back to Mike, she says, "Mmm.. Thank you. I suppose I should get to that city before I get myself in too much trouble. See you around, you two."

At that, she takes off in the direction of New Los Angeles, at a speed that does not seem entire normal for a regular human. Indeed, she seemed... augmented, perhaps. As she took off, her scales started flushing with color again, reflecting the light of this alien sun.

Death:

Death rides his phantom horse, Despair, across the great plains of the Arena.

(He just arrived here, upon the Grandmaster opening a dimensional wormhole for him. He knows that Sithius is here, and wishes to stop his plans)

There's an intense thunderstorm above Cauldros.

Cauldros

Herald, who had been wandering through the rocky environments of Cauldros, stopped when he noticed the thunderstorm. Extending his wings, he approached the middle of the calamity, trying to find the source.

"I BANISH YOU..." booms a mighty voice from the storm, as a muscular-looking old man appears out of nowhere, facing down a man with an armor and a mighty blue sword. The man attacks but his enemy easily dodge it and send him flying with a mere punch, shattering the armor and hurling the man deep into the ground.

"... TO THE DEPTH OF THE UNDERWORLD !" he yells, as an incredibly potent blast of lightning emerges forth, striking the man and completely exploding him, destroying both whatever remains of the armor and the sword in a burst of fury and raw power ! His voice get even deeps for a moment as he observes the electric explosion.

Then, he snaps his fingers and dust himself off.

"That was easy."

Approaching the man, Herald cleared his throat to catch his attention.

"That was quite an impressive show, Sir. Who might you be?"
