Crystallum 24th: Ball

Ai approached Alexia. She was dressed up in her chosen outfit (the yellow and white striped dress with the opera gloves). She had tied her hair up into a formal bun. She had also fancied up Charisse's hair earlier.

"You're going to be disappointed because I am also secretly armed," she said. She shrugged. "Better safe than sorry."

Meanwhile, Little Bit Beastly were nearby preparing for tonight's performance. Luckily, they weren't performing first. Tsukiko paced back and forth reading her lyrics with Fang and Norman made sure their electric guitar and bass guitar respectively were tuned.

Pre-Ball

"Honestly, Alex? I'm gonna be having a fabulous amount of fun even without dancing with you people present in the same room." Hope grinned cheekily at the princess before turning her attention to Ayers. "Noted." She nodded in acknowledgement.

"Oi, don't you scoff at me." Seeing Pius frowning, she couldn't help but let out a small sigh. "A mere figure of speech. I'll be staying clear of liquor myself, no matter how light."

Then Yun walked in. ...it occurs me to I haven't asked him about his garment of choice earlier. In hindsight, this is probably a good thing. Didn't spoil the surprise.

"Hey there." She greeted him with a small smile. "Same with you."

Palace

Eschewing his usual wild appearance for something more formal◊, Glen went over a few last minute preparations for the night. Being under the impression that it would be a bit much to carry around his full arsenal, Glen chose to keep Biorgadh on his person in the odd event something might occur that would require his martial abilities.

With that out of the way, Glen made his way into the Ballroom.

Ballroom, 8:30

Looking around at his classmates and their various fancy outfits, Glen grinned and said "Well the lot o' you look braw if you dinnae mind me sayin'"

Crystallum 24

"Yes, you all look great." said Alexia, smiling at everyone. "Miss Imuka, don't look so nervous. Like I said, you look great."

"As for the weapons..." Alexia sighed. "I guess, I can't do anything about it."

She looked at Pius. "Please, don't be like that. Talk to people. And yes, I am aware of the hypocrisy, don't call me out."

At that moment, Alice walked into the room, looking vaguely uncomfortable.

"Alice...you're wearing a suit."

"I'm not wearing a fancy dress. You can't make me."

Chelsea

"I'm not ready!" Chelsea's voice called out. It sounded like she was panicking, actually.

READY TO DANCE

Jack walked out into the room, he looked at Alice. "You look hot." He said, struggling to put on a bright red tie.

Team COGS Room, Just Outside

"Would you, uh... Like any help?" Remus said, probably a stupid question.

She sounds... Panicky... And here I thought I was nervous... Are we seriously both nervous? Eh... Eheheheheheh. Yeah... I guess.

Pre-ball

"Boo..." Medus called out from off to one side of the room in response to Alice's comment. "You'd look good in a dress spoilsport."

Ball Time - Ieria

Ieria was over in Feb's corner, staring down at the images with a look on her face that simply said "crushed" on it. She had failed the girl and because of that she had died. Regardless of what anyone said, she had let Feb die. She even held her hand for support and comfort before...it was a shock to say the least. She remained silent as she stood there, and would likely stay that way until someone approached her.

Ball Time - Francesca

Still in the main area for the ball, Francesca was...prowling for lack of a better word. She hadn't dressed up, she was still in her work clothes, which did lend a certain high class air to her. Something which annoyed her as she considered a look such as that to be too much for her. Her posture was straighter than usual, and she appeared more alert than ever, looking ready to pounce on someone's throat if necessary.

A MEMORIAL FOR FEB

Jack quietly walked over, looking down at Feb's photo. "This is the life we've chosen." He said sadly.

Ball Prep'

Silvia got on her blue dress and did her hair up for the occasion. It was nice to have Bird Faunus compatable formal wear. She thought about Imuka and put on a pair of blue earings and the birthday necklace Mr. Hood had given her two years ago. She felt ready to attend the ball.

Ball

Silvia came to the ball with the rest of her teamates. "Tell me if you spot Imuka." she whispered to Rufus.

Ballroom

Alice sighed at Jack's words. "Hot. Yeah, right." She then turned to Medus. "And show off the scars and experiment marks? No thanks. I don't want to be stared at."

Alice walked over to the memorial. "She was an idiot." Her fists clenched. "A brave, noble idiot that I failed to save."

Chelsea

"Don't go in!" Chelsea actually yelled. "I look terrible! Oh, Dust...you'd probably break up with me!"

Then, Seth's voice. "Actually, come in. She's gone batshit. Maybe you can talk sense to her."

Fran

At that moment Fran's Scroll beeped. Message from Carol. "Mom! Help! Can't get Beth into her dress! It's the sugar rush from hell!"

Crystallum 24th: Ballroom

Ai almost looked Noa in the eye for a second. She knew she'd dug a bit too deep by bringing up Noiri during their little altercation. She would have punched Noa in the face if nobody had held her back. She looked away.

"Pius already brought his date, you see," said Ai, grinning. She pointed at Dies Irae. "So when will you make the necessary modifications for Dies Irae Mk VI Love Machine Edition?"

Without much left to do, the band left their stations to mingle with the other ballroom guests. The four members beelined for Ai, and Fang placed his hand on Ai's shoulder.

"When are you going to introduce us to your girlfriend?" said Fang.

"Is she hot?" Norman chimed in.

Chelsea

"Oh please Chelsea. There's no way I would break up with you, let alone for something like that."

Remus opened the door calmly, hoping it wasn't some trap from Seth to give him an excuse to start shooting at him.

I've become way too paranoid...

FEBUARY RAIN

"Even if you are a god, you can't save everyone." Jack said to Alice. "Now, we can only ensure that her death wasn't in vane."

Ball Prep

Medus walked over to Feb's memorial and stood in between it and the others with his arms spread out. "Ah, ah, ah, no. We will have time to mourn her later, more time than we'll know what to do with. But tonight is about enjoying ourselves. I have spent two months keeping everyone from sliding into a pit and working to get others out and this is key. So go and enjoy yourselves dammit."

Ballroom

Ieria moved over slightly for the other two to pay their respects as well, opting not to say anything, out of fear she might cave in. Everyone was blaming something else. Pitiful. None of them wanted to admit what she already knew. It was her fault, it was her own error that led to her death. Ieria didn't say this or even think it too hard, so she just looked at the floor and tried to not draw attention to herself as she fiddled with her sleeves. "Medus I cannot..." Was all she could say to her boyfriend.

Fran

The snake matriarch sighed, allowing herself to relax a small bit as she fired off a quick message. "Be there soon, on my way now." Read the message as she quickly made her way there.

Feb's memorial

Alice sighed. "You're probably right. Still feels like shit, though."

She shook her head. "Come on, Knight." Nodding for Medus to take the other arm, Alice grabbed Ieria's right arm and tried to drag her off.

Carol and Beth

Carol opened the door to her and Beth's shared room. "Mom! Thank goodness!"

Carol hadn't even began getting ready yet, heck, she hadn't even taken a bath yet.

....This was Beth's fault. Said girl had devoured all the chocolate she could find in the dining hall and was now bpuncing around like a lunatic.

"Wheeeee!"

Chelsea

"Seth! Nooo!"

Too late. Seth opened the door. Chelsea...looked great actually. She wore a pink and violet dress that really brought out her figure, and her hair was done in an elegant bun.

"Nooo! I look hideous!"

Seth facepalmed. "Now you see what I've been dealing with!"

Chelsea

Remus's jaw nearly dropped at how good Chelsea looked. "I uh... Wow Chelsea. I have no idea what you were worried about. You look... Beautiful." He meant it too, of course. She did indeed look fantastic. "What's even the problem? Because I see absolutely nothing wrong."

Ballroom

Ieria was about to protest, but she pursed her lips shut when the two of them dragged her away from the memorial. "...Alright." She said, half defeated and half relieved by their intents. "I will try to enjoy myself." She sighed, smiling weakly.

Fran

Francesca Jade was a patient woman. If raising more than a dozen children had taught her anything, it was the value of patience. So she waited, tracking Beth's movements with her eyes, biding her time until...!

With a quick motion she reached out and snatched the back of Beth's shirt before holding her up off the ground, like a mother cat holding the scruff of a kitten's neck. "Beth? Do I need to spank you to get you to calm down?" She asked, before turning to Carol. "Go get ready, your date is waiting, so you might want to make it fast."

Ball

"Yes, you will." Medus said staring deep into her eyes before giving the snake girl a deep kiss. "I'll make sure of it."

He turned to the princess. "That goes for you too." He added before pressing his lips gently against her cheek.

24th @ Palace

Almost done... Lucas thought to himself as he finished adjusting the tie. He ended up going for something simple — a black suit, with a white dress shirt and a navy blue tie.

And there.

He grabbed the suit jacket and headed over to Carol's room

24 @ Flower shop

Chiharu was standing just outside of the flower shop. She was wearing a light blue sundress with pink flower designs and a low back so that her wings could be out.

Ballroom

"Yes, that's right. You're here to enjoy yourself..." Alice was saying to Ieria.

....Then Medus did that.

"Kyaaaaah!" The princess was so shocked, that she telekinetically pushed him away...facefirst into a table.

Blushing as red as her hair, she glared at him. "What the hell is that?!"

Chelsea

"W-what? A-are you saying I look okay?" Chelsea asked, looking sligthly relieved.

"I've been telling you that for the past hour!" grumbled Seth. "Now, get the hell out of here! Use protection!"

He shoved his sister and Remus right out the door.

Jades

Carol sighed in relief. "Thanks, mom! I'm going to be quick."

"Neeed to mooove." moaned Beth, flailing her arms and legs.

And then Carol saw someone in the hallway. "Lucas! Crap! I'm not readyyyyy!"

Chelsea

"Of course you look okay!" Remus said happily as they were booted out of the room."

Did he just say...?

Remus shook his head, obviously he misheard. He held out his arm for Chelsea, playing up the gentlemanly charm. "My lady?" He said with a cocky smile on his face.

It's alright to smack 'im one Chels.

Maleria

Medus pushed himself up from the ground holding a hand to one side of his forehead. "That was a friendly kiss on the cheek. I thought it'd be fairly safe to give you one small one without getting smacked around telekinetically or otherwise Miss 'Don't all friends shove their tongues down each other's throats?'."

Chelsea

"I look okay, realy? S-sorry, this is the first time I'm doing something like this...and it's with you...so..." Chelsea sighed.

Then she laughed at his bow. "Of course, milord. Lead the way."

Ballroom

Alice basically freaked out. As in, full-on Alexia style brain mush. Sisters indeed.

She was blushing and flailing her arms. "W-what?! Why are you talking about that!"

"I told you not to talk about that! It meant nothing! Nothing!"
