Interest Check: A Professional Wrestling RP

Okay, I know this is a longshot, but I would love to do an RP centered around Professional Wrestling, specifically with one of two concepts.

• Concept 1: The Monday Night Wars
  • An RP set during The '90s (covering the New Generation Era, the Monday Night Wars, and the Attitude Era), or approximately 1992-2001, dealing with the World Wrestling Federation (Now WWE), World Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, and Smoky Mountain Wrestling. The main focus would be the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW, but would also feature the era right before the Monday Night Wars, and would have ECW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling act as wild card factions. Players would make their own wrestlers and gimmicks with the established wrestlers of the era acting as NPC's, and work for one of the four companies (WWE, WCW, ECW, and SMW). This is the main idea we're going with.

I feel as if there should be a Wrestling Is Real and I vote for the attitude era.

Sure, sounds fun, but my wrestling knowledge from that era is veeeery limited.

Basically, this RP I am making is based on the idea of a universe where Kayfabe is real, and all these gimmicks are actual individuals.

It's set in The '90s, and is centered around OC's created by the players who partake in a four-way struggle between WWE, WCW, ECW, and SMW.

In other words, look at the trope Pro Wrestling Is Real.

Well technically kayfabe itself exists within a fictional 'verse where wrestling is real so that's kind of redundant but whatever I guess.

But yeah I'm very much interested.

Still interested, but will there be gimmick matches aside from the standard Hell-In-A-Cell, Extreme Rules and such? Like lumberjack matches?

Oh yes, there will be plenty of gimmick matches as well as standard matches.

So, when I get the RP up, which promotion will you side with? You can have three characters at maximum: A face, a heel, and a female (who can be either face or heel).

These are the promotions that one can join. And you can have characters in each promotion.

• WWE (World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment), run by Vince Mc Mahon
• WCW (World Championship Wrestling), run by Eric Bischoff
• ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling), run by Paul Heyman
• SMW (Smoky Mountain Wrestling), run by Jim Cornette

You hould probably change the first post to say that we're going with Attitude Era. Also, will wrestlers in different promotions wrestle one another?

Possibly, invasions are definitely in the cards.

Also, there will be both player vs. player matches (OC's vs. OC's) and player vs. NPC matches (OC's vs. Established wrestlers of the 90's).

How do we decide the winners? Do we just have it up to a vote or does the Gm decide? Also, you should probably put the promos and the other rules in the first post too.

I'm still working on the rules, I'm thinking Player vs. Player is decided by votes while Player vs. NPC is up to the GM. This is subject to change as I have yet to iron out the rules for this.

Promos will definitely be part of the RP as well.
