Goldmage and Elcenia are mostly... not going. I've been doing holiday things mostly today. If kappa's dry spell goes on much longer I might inch along but no promises.

I've started reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Alicorn.

Yaaaay enjoy DS&B :D There is a sequel and a side novelette out (Days of Blood and Starlight, Night of Cake and Puppets) and another sequel on the way (Dreams of Gods and Monsters). DS&B is better than DB&S, but NC&P is terribly precious and I retain high hopes for DG&M. I also like the stories in Lips Touch Three Times but cannot currently recommend the Blackbringer series (I will probably try it again, eventually).

There are now three of the things, and supplementary things from people sending me asks addressed to the characters behind those things.
So over on the Talk to Effulgence Characters page I asked the following question:
The angels attacked Aianon, so they knew something about demons. Does that mean demons are an actual thing in (some of the subworlds of) Alethia? If so, are they actually personifications of evil that need to be dealt with?
And I got a response directly from the alethiometer (see that last link). The message (using this) is Owl-hourglass-chameleon-alpha and omega-apple-sun-angel-candle-alpha and omega-anchor-owl-hourglass-serpent, which I whimsically translated (using reasoning explained in the comment below the Alethiometer's post) as "When Amariah remodeled the underworld, she encountered the literal Judeo-Christian God, and angels, even if they were pretty pathetic. Of course there are freaking demons! But they might not need to be dealt with in the same way—if Amariah negotiates with them, there's hope it won't end in death."
Anyone else have different interpretations?

Oooh, new PB's. Spreadsheet to be even more complicated :D I am so excited for new Bells, I only even have guesses for the canon for four of them... this will be such fun!

I may have just zoomed through all of Worm in about a week. I have a problem you guuuuuys :D So, back to re-reading Alicorn books till there is something new! (I get all read-y when I'm sick, apparently. And on a related note can I not be sick now please?)
