Halis: <Hypno-whatnow? I'm just a Buneary... I don't know anything about fancy things like hypnostones.>
They try not to giggle a bit after saying this. It's painfully obvious they're just joking around.
Pewter City
"Hypnostone is what I told you," Colton acknowledged, drawing the stone but with both hands so as to keep the spiral pattern hidden. "It's a little disconcerting, but I honestly wanted to tell the J-Team. It's probably some artifact or something," he considered.

Alright, so that's pretty potent. Do you have a carrying method that doesn't risk exposure? Because that's the first thing to make sure of.
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Halis: <I mean, we already kinda failed the "exposure" bit considering my memory got corrupted for a short while... although, interestingly, the result is different if you try to do the same thing with it intentionally that it causes from corrupting one's memories unintentionally. We can demonstrate what happens when someone is altered using it, if you want... and by we, I mostly mean me, since I've been the "test subject" for it.>
Pewter City
"Nothing established yet," Colton conceded. "I mean, I just found it. I'm thinking another pendant, but..." he shrugged. "I'm presently more focused on exploring its effects than containing it," he shrugged, gesturing to Halis as if to say "what they said!"
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Pewter Center
I mean maybe we shouldn't use it too much on a single person if we don't know what damage it's doing... I'd volunteer but uh...
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Halis: <No, no, it only really damages you if you don't give a command of some kind beforehand... that's why I got messed up by it earlier. Besides, I don't mind... if it helps you, it helps me by relation.>
Pewter Center
"Well, I'm not gonna use it right now, unless Pent wants to see it in action," Colton decided.
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Pewter City
Also I'd advise against wearing it because like... If just seeing it without getting an order makes it do the bad thing, maybe keep it in something opaque so bystanders don't catch glimpse of it accidentally...
-Pent ponders whether to actually request that demonstration. There's moral issues involved-
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Halis: <Well, duh... it works very quickly, after all. Like I said, if you need a demonstration, I'm perfectly fine with helping to show you... we tried it earlier the proper way and nothing bad's happened so far, so it can't have too many long-term effects when properly handled, right?>
They seem to be fully aware of what they're saying.
Pewter Center
"Of course its container would be opaque," Colton shook his head. "But it is something to handle with care.
"Won't use it on them until you give the word. And that's if you ever give it in the first place."
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Pewter City
Alright, let's have a demonstration I guess...
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Halis: <Oh, and by the way... make sure you have your eyes closed when he pulls out the stone, otherwise you might get affected too.>
They look to Colton.
Halis: <You can repeat what we did earlier, or try something different, if you want. I'd personally just repeat what we did before, though, for simplicity's sake.>
Pewter City
With the go-ahead given, Colton gestured for Pentigan to look away before he turned to Halis and drew the Spiral Stone.
"You will believe that you have been turned back into a human," he said before he pocketed it.
"Okay Pent, it's safe," he said.
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Halis once more stares at Colton before shaking their head.
Halis: <Oww... headache...>
Halis gasps.
Halis: <H-hey, wait a minute! How'd this happen!? I'm a human again! I don't remember being this short, though...>
It seems like it can make someone think they're something, even if they're not, but it can't change their physical form this way.
Halis: <I thought I said that we should've done the thing we did before, but I guess not... Oh well.>
Chances are if you showed them a mirror, this illusion would be broken very quickly.
Pewter Center
Colton turned to Pentigan? "Eh? Eh?" He asked, egging for acknowledgment.
"So, now that you're human again, what's going through your mind?" He then asked Halis after turning to them.
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Pewter Center
Yeah okay that's uh... That's kinda potent...
-He doesn't have much to say, he's kinda unsure how to describe how kinda dangerous and useful this is-
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Halis: <Well, first off... that stone can morph people, too!? This thing is even more dangerous than I thought! Second... now I feel awkward since I've been a Buneary for so long and going back just feels... off. Third... third, uh... blehhhh, this feels weird. I can't think straight for some reason. Can we undo this yet?>
It seems like this is pretty obviously bothering them in spite of the circumstances being all in their mind, literally.
Pewter Center
Setting up illusory visual barricades so as to prevent Pent from inadvertently sneaking a glance, Colton showed the Spiral Stone again.
"You will be a Buneary again," he suggested before pocketing the stone and dispelling the barricades.
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Halis falls over a bit before getting back up, a bit disoriented.
Halis: <Phew... thanks. That was, uh... confusing. I much preferred the other one we did earlier, honestly. At least that one was natural. How'd you figure out that stone can also morph people like that, though?>
They seem to believe their experience just now was genuine.
Pewter Center
Yeah uh... Wow okay, I'm not sure how to feel about this thing existing...
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Pewter Center
"Okay, first off, you weren't turned human," he told Halis before turning to Pent.
"Second, I share the sentiment. It's a... thing... that exists," he summarized, shoving it away into his jacket pocket. "I don't want to destroy it, because I want to know who's responsible."
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Halis: <Wait, what!? That didn't happen? Then... what happened?>
They stumble back a bit, falling over.
Halis: <B-but that... it felt so real. How could something do that?>
They seem a bit shocked by this.
Pewter Center
Hullo!
-He approaches-
So, hypnostone is what I heard?
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.
