-Everything is moved into place while Ludmilla huffs in indignation.-

DR. MOBIUS!: <A-C-TUALLY, inviting Ludmilla was my idea. She happens to be the most powerful psychic on the premises, on top of having already entered Dune's mind once before - when she tried to fend him off in the old facility.>

-It appears the whiteboard - no longer white, and in fact tie-dyed in a massive kaleidoscope of colors permanently stained into the plastic, has a somewhat coherent series of layers on it.-

DR. MOBIUS!: <If everyone is ready, I'd like to begin our briefing.>

-Champloo comes out with refreshments.-

DR. MOBIUS!: <Also everyone eat the sleepy food or I'm gonna have to knock you out myself. We'll get this done before you all start nodding off.>

-Cambria comes in behind Champloo with mugs of lavender tea, handling the first one to Ren.-

Ren: Thank you, Cambria.

-Ren stows his tablet while Cambria passes out the other mugs. Cambria then takes a seat next Ren, her fists clenched in her lap. Ren places his right hand on the worriedly clenched fists in his fiance's lap. Cambria's hands relax a bit.-

Ren: -softly in Cambria's ear- This is a massive operation, but we are prepared. Just be ready to welcome us back.

Dream World, Village

-Oberon stares at the shadowy Pokémon in front of him.-

Oberon: <Surrender!>

-The shadowy Pokémon's eyes glint red.-

Oberon: <Then perish.>

-He rushes forward, a Shadow Claw emerging from his feeler...-

-Only to be sent flying by a critical hit from an Iron Tail.-

Lyra: <Oberon!>

-The Mimikyu slams into a wall and disappears.-

Olivia: <You'll pay for that.>

-The shadowy Pokémon turns to run.-

Lyra: <Flechette Storm, now!>

-They leap onto buildings on the side of the alley, sending Psycho Cuts and Air Cutters at the fleeing Pokémon.-

-All the attacks hit a wall.-

Lyra: <Hang on!>

-She jumps to the opposite building, grabs Olivia, and teleports through the wall.-

-The Pokémon, a black wood door in front of them, glares at the girls. They stop the ground, causing the road to crumble and break.-

Lyra: <Son of a->

-She and Olivia go falling down with the bits of road. The Pokémon grins and steps through the door, which then implodes.-

GM House

Tori: -As Kai goes to help with the Transistor- "Makes as much sense as anything, I guess"

-She nods sheepishly at MOBIUS' clarification about Ludmillia's participation - "Yeah... Makes sense when you put it that way"

Guess I've been hanging around Ignia so long I forgot about that little facet of her adoption...

-With a mental shrug to ignore the impending impression that she's the least qualified person in the room for their mission, Tori takes a share of refreshments and a seat on a cot-

"Alright, going by the technicolor dream board, I'm guessing there's a plan besides 'go in there and try not to break anything important', right?"

-"Just then the hallway shook violently, and seemed to distort it's self."-

Ramona, ecstatic: Paranormal quake. Caused by alteration in the spiritual and living worlds, resulting in a shaking of both and the possibility of objects arriving into either worlds. So Awsome!

Victor: <We should just leave her. I'm not being mean this time, she would be very happy here.>

-"The shaking stops and, where there was once a wall, now stands a door."-

-"Mokuba sits in his castle on a throne he built, drinking from someone else's coffee mug"-

Mokuba: <Ahhh, this is nice... I'm bored.>

-"Suddenly, Morrigan floats in carrying an odd book."-

Mor: <Hey Mokuba, I found a cool picture.>

-"The ghost type sets the book down and turns it to a colorful page of a night standing in front of a lake where a woman's hand is sticking out holding a dazzling blade."-

Mokuba: <Wow!... what is it?>

Mor: <I-I don't know, I can't read.>

-"With a hop, Mokuba picks up the book and heads for the door."-

Mokuba: <Come on court witch, we're on a quest for someone who can read.>

Mor: <Um o-okay.>

-"The two children rush out into the stormchaser halls."-

The GM House

-Mobius slaps the whiteboard with a marker. This causes it to spin until he catches it and returns it to its upright position.-

DR. MOBIUS!: <Owing to the fact that portions of Dune's mind will likely be aware and responsive to our desire to cleanse his mind, I suspect that we should receive little to no interference on the way down to the fourth layer, here. Do not - I repeat, do not - mistake that for active compliance, because the third layer, the "lizard brain", is likely the source of a great deal of anger, aggression, and is not to be messed with.

-Dune rubs the back of his head in a slightly embarrassed fashion.-

DR. MOBIUS!: <From the previous reports of the mindscape, however, it appears that there is quite a savvy ally on the inside - this "Lorekeeper", who apparently is friendly to a fault. Find him - he will likely get you down to the bottom layer without issue. But watch out for the Frozen King, a "white blood cell" sort of aspect that does not approve of anyone else. Deziree appears to be able to handle him - if he shows up, just get her.>

-Deziree makes a not-so-subtle showing of inspecting her wedding ring.-

Mistralton Haunted House

Kazuma: "I thought as much, but who's-"

-And quake!-

-Kazuma clings to a banister and until it settles and the door appears-

-He lets go, and sighs-

"So, Ramona, you're telling me that this is basically a 'door to the netherworld'."

-He shakes his head and address the Gastly- "Well, I appreciate the warning. But as you've seen my friend doesn't scare easily, and there's someone we're here to meet."

-Ren sighs and takes another sip of his tea.-

Ren: Well from what I heard when we were help with Izanagi, I don't think I'll like him much either. But yes, find Lorekeeper will be critical - provided he hasn't already set thing up for like last time.

-sighs-

Warptiles.

Gastly: <Yes but... WHAT THE DOUBLE FUCK!?>

-"Apparently, having not heard a word that was said to her, Ramona has begun hitting the door with a nearby bust of Shakespeare... that talks."-

Bust: Stop- ow- it- ow!

Ramona, apologetic: sorry Doctor, but the door's locked.

Shakespeare: I AM WILLIAM SHAKSPEAR, NOT DOCTOR WHO!!!!!

-"And with that, the door slowly creaks open."-

Ramona: Oh, guess it wasn't locked, sorry about that Mr. Roosevelt.

William Shakespear: You Daft Twat, Did You Even Check!!

-"Ramona sets the bust down and leads the way into the room. It's just as it was when she first entered, but the ghost girl is no where to be seen."-

Mistralton Haunted House

Kazuma: ... In all honesty, what are the chances a Shuckle and an IT guy can do anything useful if that door disappears?

-He sighs again, and waves to the ghosts and any mons staying behind-

"Well, with any luck we'll be out of your hair and headed home soon"

-And with a brief, unspoken prayer to the universe at large he follows into the ghost room-

-"Once everyone is in, the door slams shut shaking the room."-

Aya: <''AAAHHHHH, NO, we're going to die, they'll rip our innards out and feed them to demons.> -the Dewott starts to cry-

Norma: <Dude, what's wrong with you? They'll worship me, I'm the demon queen.>

Ramona: That happened last time -gasp- Miss. Ghost, you here? I've come to save you with the help of Kaz... -turns to Kazuma- I gave you nickname, that cool?

-"Meanwhile, Hyde is jumping on the bed when suddenly the room begins to twist and distort, turning the room into a vortex."-

Ramona: W-wow, that... didn't happen before.

-"After a few minutes of being hit by strong winds, the group suddenly find that all the furniture in the room has grown to giant size."-

Victor: <....Alright, who dropped acid?>

GM House

Arika: Lizard brain, Frozen King... Any other hazards other than the big baddie we should know about?

Stormchaser

-Arvis is here, as a Houndoom-

Gogie sees Arvis and heads over to him.

Gogie: <Uh, h-hey, Fala. What's... been going on?>

The GM House

DR. MOBIUS!: <Nope!>

-He smacks the white board again and it goes spinning, again. Mobius just leaves it spinning this time.-

DR. MOBIUS!: <SLEEP TIME! For this part, I will take my leave!>

-Mobius floats out of the room. Selene, still meditating, begins to glow.-

Psychic!Selene: ~When you reach REM sleep, I will pull you into the entryway into Dune's mind. It's a pleasant little room with a buzzer by the door. Use it to contact the aspects so they can let you out.~

-The lights dim, and Deziree and Ludmilla both collapse on their marked beds. Apparently the two had been slightly sleep deprived in order to make themselves sleep quickly and soundly.-

-Ren inhales deeply over his cup before downing the last of the tea. Ren lies down on the cot and gives Cambria's hand before putting his hat over his face to block out the light.-

-Cambria waits for all the others to fall asleep before pulling a blanket over Ren.-

Cambria: Good luck, sweetie.

A Café

Amaterasu sets herself down at a convenient table, shifting her tails around to be more comfortable in her seat.

What I’d give to access Hasslemon from here, she considered. No, that’d be rude, she realized.

GM House

-Arika tucks herself in-

Stormchaser

Arvis: <Supervising Julius; you?>

GM Household

-Pent finds somewhere to sit and begins concentrating. Huh...-

Alright, you three take good care of the place. We shouldn't be long.

-Dreams come quickly-

The Cafe, Past

-Pent tries his best to order everything correctly-

-Vierr lays down somewhere, while Kai sits up against the wall to rest, with the Transistor in her lap.-

-They both close their eyes and wait for the link to take hold.-

A Café

After she hears Pent order, Ammy waves him over to the table.

GM house

-It takes a little bit for Tori to pass out, even with the sleepy snacks, but she finally does-

The Boundary House

-One by one, the divers find themselves in a room that, on the surface, doesn't look too dissimilar to the one they were just in.-

-The lights, however, are on full. The picture frames on the walls - with no windows - hold newspaper cuttings with nonsensical and unreadable wording.-

-The floor is a strange plastic stone.-

-Everyone is upright.-

-Being one of the first out, Ludmilla is already here.-

-Noticeably, and to Ludmilla's great consternation, Dune is absent.-

-Next to the door - which is not only a thick slab of silver metal, but also lacks a doorknob - is a button, an intercom, and a plaque saying "BUZZ FOR ASSISTANCE"-

-Ludmilla herself isn't dressed in the tank top and shorts she was wearing in the waking world. It looks like the mindscape has dressed her in a regal breastplate and light armor. She even has a silver circlet with a sapphire set in the center.-

Ludmilla: DAAAD! DAD!

-She kicks the door and sulks.-

Gogie: <Been working at the Thorne daycare, mostly.>

<Though, uh, how's supervising him going?>

-Ren appears and also notices the absence of Dune. Ren straighten his tie he moves towards Ludmilla. With his additional height his altered biology along of the boots of his armor suit and his black horn◊, means he likely towers above the young auric as he puts a comforting hand on her shoulder.-

Ren: -Bending over to be on Ludmilla's eye level- Calm down, Ludmilla. Your father is safe. And the proof of that is that we still are.

-Both of Ren's mismatched eyes gleam with conviction - his left one literally.-

Ren: Someone ring the buzzer. We need out of here to find Dune.
