Not too hard.
First the shopping. Hector bought himself some Steel Axes and Hand Axes. He also bought some Iron Swords for Eliwood. Sain bought a Mend Staff and a bunch of Vulneraries. Wil has plenty of bows.
Eliwood held off the eastern forces, 1RKOing basically everyone that attacked him. Wil took down the first Shaman in two hits without a scratch. He lead the charge to the western ship. And by lead the charge, I meant solo'd everyone except Zoldam. Matthew sort of just followed along and pretended to kill things.
Once the pile of corpses on the east side grew too high, everyone moved to the western ship. Except Eliwood who killed one of the members of the south ship.
Matthew stole the Speedwing from the boss and was rescued by Priscilla. Wil got a couple of hits on Zoldam and Hector finished him with his Steel Axe.
