Chapter 13:

So Hector escorts Eliwood on to meet Eli's old family friend, when they're attacked by another fellow. Time to take care of buisness guys!

I got a bad feeling about going down the southern route, so I told Hector to chop some trees for the group to cross the river to the west instead.

Unfortunetly, an innocent village was unable to be saved from the brigands that roam the area. We were a little dissapointed, but that's how things go.

Hector and Marcus rescued the remaining village, with a weird guy with a ponytail dropping his stuff. Meanwhile, I escorted Eliwood and the others across the river. For some weird reason, Eliwood decided to swim across. He claims that the fresh water does him good. I just hope he doesn't drown...

Some random psycho swordsman came from the fort area we bypassed and ambushed us with more bandits. Fortunetly, they hit Oswin, who despite his rusty armor, was able to shrug it off like it was nothing. Turned out the guy (oddly enough named Guy) was a pal of Matthew's, who ordered the swordsman to work for him for the rest of his life. He still seems like he'd slaughter us all at any time though, so I told Matthew to confiscate his sword.

Dorcus spent the last of our cash on a couple items. I may have to sell some of our extra weapons, since it looks like Eliwood's attendants aren't going to stop attending him any time soon.

Matthew was forced to meatshield after his chat with guy, and once again, the Random Number Goddess trolled me by having an 18% chance hit work, and then a 40% chance hit missed. I need to make sure to offer up a few sacrifices to her before we leave this region.

Normally I'd tell Hector to take out a few more soldiers to help toughen him up, but with matthew in pain, I decided to speed things up a bit, and have Marcus break out his Silver Lance that he brought with him from Pharae. With it, Marcus easily took down the leader, and even got a level up!

Turns out Eliwoods family pal was stabbed by someone, and died before he could say anything that wasn't cryptic. This isn't going to do very well for Elifrail's condition, but he claims he's still fit enough to ride his wheelchair. I guess we'll see...

Next time, people trip, fires are lit, and Eliwood adds blindness and deafness to his list of ailments. Keep watching!
