Elliot: No. The swimmers don't come up from the lakebed here. We're safe, unless Yellow decides to start fishing.

Yellow: They're really dragging this out. But, it does show the value of each individual badge.

{What looked like another building from outside turns out to be a massive cave system.}
Yellow: Victory Road, because that’s what everyone who comes here wants.
Lumina: ‘’Through the Silver Foothills to the Plateau of mastery... this is really it.’’
{It’s a hazardous area, filled with Exploding Geodude and Graveler}
Yellow: That circular thing on the floor looks odd. I’ve never seen anything like it before. That rock over there is at the wrong angle to work with, and this close one isn’t in the way... And then up on that ledge there’s a strange obstacle... Nothing else is in range. Bruce, come out. We’ll need your Strength. Bruce: ‘’Very well.’’
{Bruce pushes the boulder over the rough ground onto the strange circle. And this somehow causes the ledge to clear.}
Yellow: A manmade puzzle. But I couldn’t guess what it’s made of.
{Following the cleared path, Yellow is surprised to see someone.}
Cooltrainer f: I wonder if you are good enough for me!
Yellow: How did you get here? I know that only two people in the world won the Earthbadge!
{She doesn’t respond, except to send out a Lv 44 Persian to attack. Bruce manages to take it down with a critical Double Kick. She sends out a Ninetales, but Elliot takes it down.}
Cooltrainer f: I lost out! I never wanted to lose to anybody!
Yellow: Answer the question! How did you get here without all the badges?
Cooltrainer: I don’t know what you ‘re talking about! I came here as soon as the word got out, and they never asked for any “Earthbadge”.
Yellow: (So, she slipped in before the Dojo was closed down... but None of the other gyms had registered her either. Just how long ago did she collect them?)
{Yellow picks up Tm 43 Sky attack, and Urbeth grows to level 39}
Cooltrainer m: I can see you’re good! Let me see exactly how good!
{He uses Lv 42 Ivysaur, Wartortle, Charmeleon, and Charizard. Elliot grows to lv 39}

Juggler: Ah, so you wish to challenge the Elite Four?
{He uses Lv 41 Drowzee, Hypno, Kadabra, and Kadabra. Flarer grows to level 39.}

Yellow: (I didn’t think he’d be slowed down.)

Yellow: That’s right. I was a bit surprised myself (That no one else would try).
{Flarer grows to level 40 against a wild Machoke. Yellow finds a Max revive, then has Bruce solve another boulder puzzle. But before going down the path that opens, he goes down a ladder}
Pokemaniac: If you can get through here, you can go meet the Elite Four!
{He has Lv 40 Charmeleon, Lapras, and Lickitung.}
Pokemaniac: No! Unbelievable! I can best you when it comes to knowledge about Pokemon!
{Yellow finds an Ultra Ball and another item, but his pack is full. He also sees that he’s wandered into a creature’s nest...}
Moltres: ‘’’’’You have discovered me! But if you fear defeat, I shall give you a chance to leave quietly...’’’’’
Lumina: ‘’We should take it. We’d gain nothing from fighting Moltres.’’ (In fact, I believe we could win, but we’d gain nothing from it.)
