We know that in some cases like breaking a door down, you can Use Your Head. But what if the door is opened....into a Death Trap, or the rammer simply runs all the way through the house and out the back door, or there's nothing behind the door at all except a really long drop. Whatever the case the hasty rammer has just earned a one way ticket to a lot of pain and/or humiliation. Of course the door doesn't need to be opened. The Bucket Booby-Trap after all requires something to be balanced on the door. This trope covers all the "look before you leap" instances where ramming something without taking into account the inherent dangers causes issues.

This can be folded to the draft about "surprise escape route". Both this and that draft have the same major element.

Hrmm nah I might discard this. People are getting mixed up about what the trope is actually about. I'm trying to describe it like someone rams something and then is killed, hurt etc. because they rammed it. It has nothing to do with what someone else does. The trope should be focused on the rammer themself.

You don't need to discard it, try rewriting it first.

Some examples would also help people understand the trope better.

Is "ramming" really limited to doors? Your Example As A Thesis makes it look that way.

Compare Ramming Always Works, which about how ships (or other vehicles) ramming each other is always an effective tactic.

Is this limited to someone ramming something with their body, or would ramming something with an object (e.g. a battering ram carried by a group of people) count?

What about a ram (male sheep) ramming something with its horns?

Another way in which ramming could end up a poor choice is the potential to end up Left Stuck After Attack.

In a beginning I thought this was about vehicles ramming doors between each others (like in Burnout game series), then i read this is "door as a trap/dead-end" trope.

Yeah, this reads very confuse, included the name of this draft. Try to fix the description as well getting a better name, but as a trope, this has potential IMO, so you don't need to discard it

Needs More Examples, so I bombed to balance out an undeserved hat.

I have no clue how to rewrite it though. The reason the description is a confused mess is I don't know exactly how to explain it except for comparing it to something first.

This sometimes has overlap with Escape Route Surprise, right?
