1* HoYay: Jung and his friend and room mate Kimchee act chummy with each other even though only their attraction to women is known, and their close friendship is enough have them MistakenForGay in-universe. One moment has Kimchee hugging Jung without pants on back at home during a reconciliation moment. Additionally, neither really bat an eye when a confused Kimchee asks Jung when they've ever kissed (he misunderstood Jung talking about his kiss with Shannon).
2* TheScrappy: Raj makes frequent appearances after his debut in Season 2 as part of the subplot between him and Janet. The audience is incredibly not fond of him, however, due to him cheating on Janet by getting (temporarily) engaged to another woman yet still making the moves on her and being pushed as her love interest. The official instagram has poked fun at this by [[https://www.instagram.com/p/BkVHFURAmUp singling him out in a "Not You" meme]] and [[https://www.instagram.com/p/B7EPWIZhbIm compiling a bunch of Raj-hate comments found on twitter]].
3* ValuesDissonance: Though generally well-received by Korea, some of its viewers find it hard to relate to the Kim family (for example Appa and Umma coming off as old-fashioned), a stark contrast to audiences from Asian immigrant families in the West who enjoy the series precisely because of how hard it hits home. Due to societal/cultural differences, the lifestyle of an Asian immigrant family usually differs greatly to those living in Asian countries themselves, which makes it understandable that the Korean audience don't quite understand the immigrant culture portrayed in the series.
