* CommonKnowledge: If you ask anyone how this creepypasta ends, they'll say it ends with Freakachu ([[FanNickname how the fans call Red's Pikachu as painted by the creepypasta]]) [[MindRape Mind Raping]] Angie. The fan film, the fan game and ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinLullaby'' corroborate this... but there's no proof of it in the creepypasta itself: it's simply the game flashing between black and white really quickly while a horrifying screech rages. This belief seems to stem from the fact the first thing Angie does after getting rid of the corrupted game post-MindRape is to check her ''Pokémon Yellow'' game to check if her Pikachu is alright (thankfully, it's still just a normal Pikachu). Noteworthy is that Reid Maxwell's version of the game, which is found as an EasterEgg in his game adaptation of ''Fanfic/PokemonLostSilver'', ''doesn't'' have a Freakachu jumpscare, instead having the Perish Song sound effect play on a loop, so Reid likely knows that Freakachu has no part in the game {{Mind Rape}}ing Angie in the pasta itself.
* FanNickname: The Pikachu Red uses in the creepypasta is sometimes called Freakachu. This nickname's popularity skyrocketed after this creepypasta was featured in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinLullaby''.
* {{Fanon}}: ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinLullaby'' depicts this story as a prequel to ''Fanfic/PokemonLostSilver'', along with an EasterEgg in Reidd Maxwell’s game adaptation of Lost Silver implying the same idea. The idea stems from this story depicting the demise of the original game’s protagonist, while Lost Silver depicts him in some form of post-mortem purgatory.
* FridgeBrilliance: Of course Typhlosion would be the last Pokémon left in Blake's party. It's the only fire-type in the party, and as such, would have a much better time faring against the snowstorm.
** Also, Meganium, a Grass-type, which would fare the worst against the snowstorm, dies first.
* FridgeHorror: In-universe, Angie notes that since the code's name includes the term Easter Egg, that would imply the horrific events that transpire as a result were meant to be a hidden secret in the actual game.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The ''Manga/PokemonAdventures'' manga would have Nate, the male protagonist of ''VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2'', be named Blake (as a pun on Black, but still).
** The [[Anime/PokemonTheSeriesDiamondAndPearl Diamond and Pearl]] anime has a minor character with the same name as this pasta's protagonist, Angie.
** Someone at Creator/GameFreak likely read this creepypasta, as in the Gen IV remakes of ''VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver'' you have to deal with the Hail weather condition on Mt. Silver, including during the battle with Red. Unlike in the pasta, though, the DamageOverTime the Hail causes doesn't do anything worse to the Pokémon than making them faint, and Ice-Types are immune to said DamageOverTime. Also, Red's Espeon was replaced with a Lapras.
* {{Narm}}: As horrific as the images within the game may be, it is a little hard to swallow that they, along with the screeching noises coming from the game itself, would be as scarring as presented therein.
* NightmareFuel: The ending, where the game {{Mind Rape}}s the protagonist, is made ten times more unnerving in the short film adaptation, where the image of a Pikachu skull with a SlasherSmile flashes on the screen.
* UnexpectedCharacter: The Celebi in the Pokéball.
