* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Is Jill a selfish and deeply flawed but ultimately guilty character (as implied by her [[spoiler: returning to apologize to Casey after trying to seduce Jared]]), or is she [[spoiler: an unrepentant sociopath who set her friend up to get sexually assaulted]]?

* {{Narm}}: The acting ranges from stiff to over-the-top, which can make some of the more legitimately serious scenes into this (combined with the rather inane dialogue and stereotypical characterizations).
* NauseaFuel: ''Big time''. In fact, the film reportedly caused several audience members unprepared for its gruesome content to flee the theatre in disgust.
* SoOkayItsAverage: The general consensus is that the film does have some promising ideas but doesn't quite live up to its full potential. In particular, many felt that the relationship drama seemed rather tacked-on and distracting from the main plot of Casey's transformation.
* TookTheBadFilmSeriously: Pretty much the entire cast somehow manage to remain professional about the whole thing despite the hokey script and silly dialogue, with varying degrees of success. In particular, Elma Begovic makes a genuine effort to portray Casey as a TragicMonster rather than a simple archetype while Annette Wozniak makes a similarly genuine effort to portray Jill as someone earnestly trying to help her friend deal with her situation despite their past differences as she watches her disintegrate, which makes the later revelation that [[spoiler:she set her up]] all the more shocking.
