Aki Akuyama has it tough. She recently transferred to a new all-girl's school, and due to her fluctuating interests, has been in and out of every club in the school. Which has earned her the hatred of pretty much everybody. She makes a bet with Ella, one of the few people who will still talk to her, that she can make friends with everybody in her class. All fifteen of them. And Ella won't count until she gets the other fourteen. HilarityEnsues.

!!Provides examples of:

* ArtShift: Multiple of the chapters are in a different art style, to reflect what's going on in that chapter. For example, chapter 6, which is about the internet and social media, is presented in blocky 8-bit graphics.
* BlandNameProduct: Pointed out with the Girl Gang.
--> '''Aki''': [[ScoutOut I thought it was because of trademark issues with the name "Girl Scouts"!]]
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Aki is flighty and a bit socially awkward, but when she gets good enough at a game, she can win without even looking.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: In order to make friends with Ondine and Grace, Aki makes an enemy of Sophie. But in order to win the bet she still has to make friends with Sophie.
* DiscussedTrope: See ''Zany Scheme'' below.
* EngineeredPublicConfession:
** How Aki gets [[spoiler:Young Ae]] to become her friend. [[spoiler:Aki gets Sophie to say that her underlings are dumb people who would be nowhere without her, causing Young Ae to switch sides.]]
** Aki also does this [[spoiler:to *herself* in the final chapter. She 'accidently' says to a crowd of her fellow classmates that she lied to and manipulated all of them, in order to set up a huge apology that will bring them all around to her side.]]
* EverybodyKnewAlready: Ana is really not sure why Aki keeps calling the bet the you-know-what around her. Especially since she's helped Aki get closer to winning.
* FleetingPassionateHobby: Part of Aki's problem is that she has trouble sticking with things. She's determined to prove otherwise.
* HollywoodBoardGames: Aki's efforts to befriend everyone led her to (re-)join several school clubs --he has a bad case of FleetingPassionateHobby--, including the ''TabletopGame/{{Scrabble}}'' one. Naturally, this lands her in trouble when two or more clubs have an event scheduled at the same time. On a related note, Aki's CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass smarts get to shine when, after familiarizing herself with the rules of ''Scrabble'' (and other games), she almost effortlessly rules at it.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: What kicks off the comic.
* ItsPersonal: Aki ''hates'' points players (people who play a game attempting to get a high score, rather than simply to win).
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Aki refuses to ditch Ana in order to befriend Grace. Not because either way she'd be out a person, but because she likes Ana.
* ThePlan: Aki always has a plan. To such a degree that it's a WhamLine when Aki walks into a situation thinking, "I have no plan."
* TheQuietOne: Ana, initially. Also Aki's dad, but it's implied that he doesn't speak English.
* SheCleansUpNicely: Defied.
--> '''Aki''': The idea that the only way to fit in is by giving up your uniqueness and looking just like everybody else is depressing enough without being summarized in a peppy shopping montage set to popular music.
* TwoTimerDate: Two variations with clubs occur in the first few chapters.
** In order to befriend Kendra, Aki needs to fight in the boxing tournament. But she has a ''TabletopGame/{{Scrabble}}'' tournament scheduled at the same time, and she can't quit the team.
** In order to befriend Ondine and Sophie, Aki joins the Legitimate Business Club and the Girl Gang, but it turns out that the clubs are rivals. The gangs schedule a fight and Aki has to figure out how to appear as a member of both gangs at the same time.
* ZanyScheme: Pretty much Aki's modus operandi. Lampshaded:
-->'''Ella:''' Is this a real plan, or a sitcom plan?
-->'''Aki:''' What's the difference?
-->'''Ella:''' A real plan means you're in trouble. A sitcom plan means I probably am.
