''Jazza Studios'' (formerly ''Draw With Jazza'') is a Website/YouTube art channel run by Australian professional artist Josiah "Jazza" Brooks, who does character designs, art challenges, and art tutorials for the [=YouTube=] public. He is generally known for his wit, storytelling prowess, and the whimsy of his drawings. Jazza mostly draws comic, cartoon, and fantasy illustrations but reportedly enjoys being pushed outside his comfort zone. He is most comfortable with representational depictions of characters but has learned to incorporate abstract art, doodling, and landscapes as well.

Jazza works with both traditional and digital media, as well as animation, VR, and experimental mediums such as the 3D Pen. Occasionally he will do art-based video games, such as the infamous Passepartout. He has a spin-off vlog channel, "Daily Jazza," focusing on his life as a [=YouTuber=] and professional artist - as well as his family life as a husband and father, with his wife (so far unnamed, but generally identified as 'Mrs. Jazza'), young son ('Mini Jazza'), and infant daughter ('Baked Bean'). He also has a brother, Shad Brooks, who runs a [=YouTube=] channel focusing on fantasy, medieval life, weapons, armors and castles, called ''WebVideo/{{Shadiversity}}''.

Jazza is also on Website/{{Newgrounds}} [[https://jazza.newgrounds.com/ HERE]], where he makes animations, games, hosts contests, and more.

!! ''Jazza Studios'' contains examples of the following tropes:
* AndYourRewardIsEdible: After the Coffee Art Challenge (where Jazza had to create a finished artwork using only [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin coffee]], he rewarded himself with a steaming hot cup of - you guessed it - coffee. In fact, it was the exact same coffee he'd just finished painting with, giving a distinct impression that he was drinking paint. ([[{{Squick}} Dude, your brushes have been in that!]])
** After the "Painting With Condiments" challenge, he dipped a hot dog in his own art.
* AprilFoolsDay: He's done some...
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfBlhmTPvds Cooking With Jazza]], because drawing is for dweebs! You'll never find a simpler, easier and cheaper recipe for [[spoiler:a cold ham, cheese and ketchup sandwich]].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lonZ8HFk064 ANNOUNCING "DRAW WORLD"]], a law-abiding and affordable way to draw things ([[Creator/TheFineBrothers an activity which]] [[WebVideo/{{React}} is legally owned by Jazza]]). Not convinced? Hear some endorsements from some authorized artists, who are [[BlatantLies absolutely NOT speaking under extreme legal duress]].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uc8jb_COuW8 How to Blend Copic Markers]], which is guaranteed to work with any combination of colors, [[spoiler:as long as you have a big enough blender to fit the markers inside]].
* ArachnidAppearanceAndAttire: The Spider Whore character design challenge ended up like this. The original designs leaned more towards SpiderPeople, but that was deemed too [[{{Squick}} squicky]].
* ArmlessBiped: His Monster Mash-up (see below).
* ArtsyBeret: When he played ''VideoGame/{{Passpartout}}'', a StarvingArtist simulator, he also donned a beret and striped shirt to match the main character, who is an artist in Paris.
* AttractiveBentGender: The very first Art Challenge of the Month, "Gender Swap," featured a lot of these. Even the thumbnail featured a female Mario and Luigi - who were both incredibly attractive, their huge noses and unibrows having mysteriously disappeared.
* AwesomeAussie: In the Monster Mash challenge, where he has to create an original monster by combining Australian animals, Jazza hammed up the Australian side of things, dressing up like Steve Irwin, acting "tough," swearing too much, and yelling "DON'T BLOODY TOUCH IT!" at random intervals.
** Aussie Bob Ross. That's not a palette knife... ''this'' is a palette knife.
* BarbarianLonghair: Due to Jazza's fondness for hypermasculine (and hyperfeminine) characters, he draws a lot of these.
* BarefootSage: The meditating man in the 3-Marker Challenge.
* BeingPersonalIsntProfessional: While Jazza is generally friendly and open with his fans, he has admitted a hidden fear of showing his insecurities that in the past has caused him to overwork himself or lose touch with his fanbase. Since the "Addressing My Mental Health..." video on Daily Jazza, he has been trying to be more open about his issues.
* BerserkButton: In [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z69Pjl_gEu8&t=21s this video]], in which Jazza buys every single alcohol-based marker he could come across, he ends up buying multiple Touch brand markers, a lot of which end up being the same kind of marker. He then loses patience with the Touch brand markers and would groan when announcing them.
* BobRossRib:
** "[[https://youtu.be/S5UWq3DI6-k Let's PAINT with AUSSIE BOB ROSS!]]" is essentially what happens if ''The Joy of Painting'' were set in Australia.
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fc0aU4ekRQ If Bob Ross painted Middle-Earth...]]" is basically "what if Gandalf hosted an episode of ''Series/TheJoyOfPainting''?"
* BrutalHonesty: Mrs. Jazza, who occasionally appears in his videos, is not one to sugarcoat her opinions. To name one example, Jazza showed his wife his finished oil painting after doing the audio only Bob Ross painting challenge. She told him that it was a good painting, especially for his painting skills which, as she put it, are "mediocre at best". Granted, Jazza clarified that he painted it without watching the video, and Mrs. Jazza said that it is even better, but still!
* BurgerFool: The cranky rooster behind the counter at KFP (Kentucky Fried People) in the KFC Role Reversal video.
* CannotTellALie: Whenever Jazza accidentally messes up, you can bet he'll awkwardly confess it in the voiceover, even if no one would have noticed otherwise. Also, when he decides to try and lie about something, he generally stops to [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial explain why he's lying]] first.
* CantTakeCriticism: Jazza ''may'' have difficulty with octagons, hexagons, and the difference. But if you [[BerserkButton point it out]] to him, [[TooDumbToLive you're on your own]].
* CatchPhrase: "Obnoxious... but ''consistent.''" At this point, it's become more of a RunningGag.
** Also, "I'm a professional!" and "I'm an ''adult.''" [[ManChild One of these things is true.]]
* ChallengeSeeker: Jazza is constantly looking for ways to expand his horizons. From working on landscapes when his strong suit has always been characters, to allowing the [[HiveMind Twitch chat]] to choose whatever they want him to draw, to trying out media with which he has no experience, part of the fun of the channel is watching him fail hilariously at something new, before picking it up and getting good at it. (Except for the Etch-A-Sketch. We don't talk about the Etch-A-Sketch.)
* ChildishToothGap: Sweet, lovable, (mostly) innocent Jazza has one of these. Still. At 30.
* CollectorOfTheStrange: Jazza is constantly accumulating art materials, ranging from the relatively ordinary (tablets, markers) to the experimental (filament, VR) to the truly outlandish (blue tack, gingerbread).
** Every time he walks through a store, he has to stop at random aisles to mention that [[RunningGag he could make art out of that.]]
** This became very clear in the art challenge where he had to use every red art supply he owns. Watching him go through his shelves and shelves [[TrashOfTheTitans and shelves]] of art supplies was staggering.
* CompetitionFreak: Art challenges are SeriousBusiness, gosh darnit!
* ControlFreak: Jazza is a perfectionist.
* CutenessProximity: Jazza starts squeeing uncontrollably at the sight of [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Pikachu]], Mini Jazza, a tiny Etch-A-Sketch (before it became his nemesis), 4-in-1 pens, WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse, kittens, or... WebVideo/{{Markiplier}}?
* DealWithTheDevil: The Devil's Angel, from Jazza's Scariest Character Ever video. He was a choirboy who became immortal this way.
* TheDrunkenSailor: The Skeleton Treasure Hunter from the Character Design Challenge. She was cursed to be a drunken skeleton forever, unless she can find the right amulet to fix it.
* EveryoneLooksSexierIfFrench: Sexy Benjamin. You wouldn't understand.
* ExperiencedProtagonist: It's easy to forget sometimes, but Jazza is a ''professional''.
* FamilyMan: A great father and husband, if what we see on camera is anything to go by. Due to being a Youtuber and thus working from home, he manages to be both this and a {{Workaholic}}, below. A telltale sign is that despite the fact that a project will make him drop anything else, whether it be sleep, eating, or hygiene, he ''always'' manages to find a way to take Christmas off.
* FeelingTheirAge: When he found out he was older than LetsPlay/{{Pewdiepie}}.
* {{Fingore}}: Jazza has a tendency to bite his nails. You can see what this does to his fingers whenever his hands are close to the camera.
* ForgetsToEat: Jazza, when working on a project.
* FormulaBreakingEpisode: Jazza [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5UWq3DI6-k painting in the style and mannerisms of Bob Ross']] ''Series/TheJoyOfPainting'' for Australia Day 2018, using the show's intro and outro in lieu of the Jazza's usual intro and outro.
* GagNose: It's not quite as big as they are in fiction, but Google AI, at least, thinks he looks like a koala.
* {{Gamebook}}: Or rather, [[https://youtu.be/aANXhfDJu-U Choose Your Own Bandersnatch!]] in a series of videos, Jazza decides to design the mysterious "frumious Bandersnatch" from ''Literature/{{Jabberwocky}}'', and the viewer gets a number of options to choose from when it comes to design. Some of the end results are legitimately scary and monstrous, others are just silly.
* GlasgowSmile: The portrait of an innocent bystander kidnapped by the Joker (apparently Jazza himself's favorite drawing ever done on the channel), has the Joker in the process of forcing his victim's face into a bloody smile. Also featured in Jazza's scarily accurate Joker impression.
* {{Guyliner}}: Jazza sported this (and looked excellent, until he added [[UncannyValleyMakeup the rest of it]]) in the "Drawing with Makeup" challenge.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Blond, lovable Jazza.
* HeroicBuild: [[WebVideo/GameTheory Matpat]] gets one in the "Drawing Youtubers as Heroes and Villains" video.
* ImpossibleHourglassFigure: While his portraits are generally very realistic, Jazza gets most of his inspiration from comics, and so he loves to emphasize gendered features. The figures on some of his women are... extreme, to say the least.
* InelegantBlubbering: His subscriber milestone videos often reduce him to this, to his embarrassment.
* InnocentBlueEyes: Jazza.
* InnocentInnuendo: A lot of the humor in his videos comes from this. Of course, while he's innocent enough not to make the innuendos on purpose (usually), he's certainly not innocent enough not to blush once he realizes how things could be taken. "It's a [[BlatantLies family-friendly]] channel, [[SurvivalMantra it's a family-friendly channel]]..."
* LaughingAtYourOwnJokes: Famous (or infamous) for this. Many of his intros, which would otherwise be clever, are ruined by his cracking up uncontrollably. To his fans, it only makes him more lovable.
* MarkedChange: The young woman from the "Steampunk Demigod" character design challenge has these, as befitting the daughter of Death.
* MasterOfAll: A RunningGag within the community is that Jazza can make art out of ''anything.''[[note]]Well, except [[AchillesHeel etch-a-sketches]] and candy.[[/note]] Examples include:
** Gingerbread.
** Literal garbage.
** Permanent markers.
** Children's craft kits.
** Blue tack.
** Invisible ink.
** Pumpkins
** Coffee.
** Sharpies.
** His three-year-old's scribbles.
** Highlighters.
** Liquid paper.
** Makeup.
** And more!
* MauriceChevalierAccent: The entire "Passpartout" series was done while wearing a beret, black glasses, a scarf and a turtleneck, holding a baguette and a glass of wine, and speaking in this accent. Because reasons.
* MenDontCry: {{Invoked|Trope}} in the 1 Million Subs video, when Jazza is, as always, crying like a baby.
* {{Mondegreen}}: Happens in his Bob Ross challenge videos. In his audio-only challenge, Bob says that one of the colors that he uses in his painting is "alizarin crimson", which Jazza mishears as "lizard crimson". It is not until he does the colorblind challenge that Jazza learns that it was "alizarin crimson" all along.
* MoodWhiplash: Any time he makes a picture for Mini Jazza, the video ends with [[BrainBleach Jazza's avatar wearing only a diaper]].
* NonActionGuy: He's a brilliant artist, but don't ask him to do the beep test.
* NoNeckChump: Jazza did an entire tutorial on how to draw one of these. Technically the video was on hypermasculinity in art, but still...
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Jazza is always, ''always'' upbeat and cheerful. Even when he's crying. When that persona drops, it's only because he's having a mental health breakdown, or something has happened to Mini Jazza.
* OffWithHisHead: While messing around with special effects (unprotected, the fool), Jazza accidentally chopped his own head off with a child-friendly pumpkin-scooping knife.
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: Jazza.
* PerpetualSmiler: The only time he's ever seen on camera without a smile is when he's doing it deliberately.
** StepfordSmiler: Or, when his mask breaks. WordOfGod says he isn't always faking it, though - he just tends to try to "push through it" when depressed by faking cheerfulness.
* PointyEars: Jazza draws a lot of supernatural characters, including pixies, fairies, and elves, all of whom have these.
* PurelyAestheticGlasses: Wore them throughout the Passepartout series. [[EveryoneLooksSexierIfFrench They made him look French.]]
* RightThroughHisPants: Deadpool in the Valentine's Day Special. Complete with "BANG!" flag.
* SandInMyEyes: [[InvokedTrope Invoked]] in pretty much every subscriber milestone video.
* SanitySlippage: When Jazza buys every single alcohol-based marker he could come across and compares them each, he sounds like he is losing his sanity as the video progresses, due to getting the same Touch brand markers and markers having the same shells.
* SelfDeprecation: Jazza's puppetry video [[spoiler: When he gets a phone call and steps out of the studio, the Jazza puppet and the Snoofs (all voiced by Jazza himself) come to life and insult his puppetry skills and his Website/YouTube channel. After using the puppets for an [[InNameOnly "adaptation"]] of Shakespeare's {{Theatre/Hamlet}}, the puppets plot to [[HostileShowTakeover kill Jazza and take over his channel]], and they succeeded.]]
* SexierAlterEgo: During the Passpartout videos, Jazza wore an ArtsyBeret, a black turtleneck, and PurelyAestheticGlasses; continually ate baguettes and drank wine; and spoke in an [[MauriceChevalierAccent abysmal French accent]]. Later on, so-called "French Jazza" was actually added to the game as a secret unlockable character. Since then, French Jazza has appeared in an increasing number of unrelated videos.
* SlasherSmile: The life insurance salesman. ''Oh God,'' the life insurance salesman.
* SociallyAwkwardHero: Jazza is all charm in front of a camera in the safety of his own studio... but don't make him film in public.
* SomethingAboutARose: Deadpool holds one in his mouth in the Valentine's Day Special.
* StepfordSmiler: The life insurance salesman from the UV Pen Challenge.
* SurvivalMantra: When he encounters a particularly difficult or frustrating challenge, tends to mutter "I'm a professional, I'm a ''professional''..." under his breath.
* UncannyValleyMakeup: Throughout the Drawing With Makeup challenge, Jazza sneakily added more and more makeup between frames. By the end, he looked like a cross between the Queen of Hearts, a [[Creator/TimBurton Tim Burton character]], and [[LiveActionTV/StarTrekTheNextGeneration Worf]].
* VerySpecialEpisode: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj62qTUoGlA This video]], which is a collaborative effort with Ripple Effect, an anti-drug abuse organization. In the video, he uses pill capsules as his artistic medium to make a portrait of Anna Wood, a girl who died shortly after taking one MDMA pill. As he is delivering the PSA, he is trying really hard to hold back his tears.
* {{Wendigo}}: Jazza drew an Ancient Egyptian version of one in a Character Design Session.
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: Pick a video on the Draw With Jazza channel. Chances are, there will be at least one comment along the lines of "Where is he from?" (He's [[UsefulNotes/AustralianAccent Australian.]])
* WineIsClassy: And French, according to the Passepartout playthrough, which was done with a glass of wine in hand all the way through.
* {{Workaholic}}: Jazza. It causes problems.
