''Crusaders Of The Lost Idols'' is an IdleGame by Codename Entertainment, which has a fair share of resource and party management features to diferentiate it from all the other ones out there.

It has a SpiritualSequel in ''VideoGame/IdleChampionsOfTheForgottenRealms'', having a similar party formation mechanic.
----

!! Tropes present in this game include:
* TheAllSolvingHammer: In this game, everything can be solved by killing more monsters, or directly the source of the party's discomfort. Even if it's nausea, or loneliness.
* ActionGirl: Sasha the Fierce Warrior; The Princess; Natalie Dragon; among others.
* BrotherSisterTeam: Nate and Natalie Dragon, their Double Dragon ability makes them far more effective when used together.
* CharacterOverlap: A decent portion of the initial character roster, as well as several of the initial quests, are derived from older Codename Entertainment game ''VideoGame/BushWhacker2'', the most prominent examples being the Bush Whacker himself, Jim the Lumberjack, Detective Kaine, The Princess, and the Dragon siblings. Over the years this has also been reversed, with ''Crusaders''-original crusaders being introduced into ''Bush Whacker 2'' as various [=NPCs=] throughout newly released areas.
* ChestMonster: The Treasure Box drops more gold than regular enemies. In "Captain Ghostbeard's Greed", the Mimic and Gold Mimic appear, and in the "Cursed Treasure" objective, an animated chest follows the party.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: A lot. Your relationship with Necromancer Kate is basically ''defined'' by you missing the point.
* DeathIsASlapOnTheWrist: Dead crusaders (party members) revive at area change. By contrast those injured in a mission take a whole day to return.
* {{Fetch Quest}}: The majority of the levels.
* FracturedFairyTale: The entirety of the "Grimm's Idle Tales" campaign is filled with this, with obvious expies of fairy tale characters. Sometimes you try to help out, and other times, you take the position of the villain.
* GoldColoredSuperiority: Legendary gear cards (that the player can only craft) are golden, and Golden Epic gear cards (which can be bought by real money or, since fairly recently, challenge tokens) have extra golden border... and there are such things as Golden Legendaries.
* HardLevelsEasyBosses: Happens fairly often during events, as the more annoying special enemies or debuffs usually don't affect boss levels.
* IdleGame: That is the genre of this game.
* IncreasinglyLethalEnemy: Bosses will become enraged and do more damage if you take too long to kill them.
* ItemCrafting: Has an incredibly simple one. To craft any given piece of gear you need the corresponding recipe and enough materials. You get ''common'' and ''uncommon'' recipes for starting crusaders for free, others are for example earned in missions. Materials come generally from disenchanting duplicate equipment. It's also possible to [[EquipmentUpgrade upgrade]] ''epic'' gear to ''legendary'' with the special item ''Legendary Catalyst''.
* LethallyStupid: Nate Dragon. Most of his abilities revolve around really idiotic and dangerous things and being unaware of it, among them are using dynamite to blow up a simple locked door, looting the family crypt, causing an unexpected explosion, and finally, he allows the player to do a NewGamePlus... by [[MikeNelsonDestroyerOfWorlds accidentally pressing]] the {{Big Red|Button}} ResetButton.
* MakeItLookLikeAnAccident: "Make the Mountain Baron have an accident so Harold can live here".
* MassMonsterSlaughterSidequest: Several of the levels have you killing a number of monsters to fill your quota for the next level.
* MightyLumberjack: Jim, the Lumberjack... [[spoiler:Especially considering the fact that if you build your formation right, despite being the second one that you earn, he may be the second (If not the first) most powerful crusader on your team.]]
* {{Necromancer}}: Your friend Kate.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: Emo Werewolf is very different from other Werewolves... The reason literally being evident in his name.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Epic cards (the best you can get without paying, crafting or other special means) are purple.
* PyroManiac: It's heavily implied that The Princess is one. All her skills are based on fire (most of which somehow improve all the DPS of your Crusaders), and their flavor texts show that she's pretty eager to set things ablaze.
* AQuestGiverIsYou: You can send benched crusaders on missions for a variety of rewards. Depending on the mission, you might need crusaders with certain tags, high levels, or good gear to increase your chances of success. Pay attention to the requirements, as if a mission fails, the dispatched crusaders might become injured and unavailable for 24 hours.
* TimedMission: The ''Get Me Out of Here!'' objective has to be completed within 80 minutes, the time limit is even tighter at Tier 3.
* TreacherousQuestGiver: ''Several''. Many of them are usually fought at the end. Examples are:
** Voodoo Lord Zollie, who sends you on multiple {{Fetch Quest}}s and is never satisfied. [[spoiler:While he's TheUnfought, you do have to face his army before presumably teaching him a lesson]].
** Mr [[spoiler:Spiders]] [=McKenzie=], who's [[spoiler:a GiantSpider]]. As if the warning signs (both figurative and literal) didn't tip you off. You fight and kill him at the end.
** Emperor Pandaclaw who is also never satisfied and even sics his minions on you at one point for not satisfying him. You kill him at the end, of course.
** Chunky the gorilla, who demands bananas, then meat, then even more meat, and [[ToServeMan eventually wants the taste of human flesh]] and tries to off you.
** Queen Kuku, the vain bird that she is, wants you to cull all the "ugly" birds as well as the dodos who purportedly "have a similar sounding name to hers". Turns out that [[spoiler:she's the ugliest of them all, both in physical appearance and morality]].
* ReferenceOverdosed: If something isn't a pun in this game it will be a reference. Serieously. Almost ''everything''.
* TakeThat!: There's a mission called [[VideoGame/{{Overwatch}} Over-Watch Out!]] which has the description: "A bunch of whiny heroes from a alternate Earth are trying to stop you from destroying the world. Wipe them out!" [[DeadpanSnarker Convincing]]
