* ChartDisplacement: "Fool for Your Lovin'" is the band's best performing song on the Mainstream Rock charts and one of their four Top 40 songs in the Hot 100 - the others are the way better known "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love". Also, "Love Ain't No Stranger" barely cracked the US and UK charts.
* CreatorBacklash: What David Coverdale thought of the earlier bluesy recordings of "Fool For Your Loving", "Here I Go Again" and "Crying In The Rain", in interviews during the band's hair metal days, although he nowadays claims to prefer the earlier versions to their better-known remakes.
* ReferencedBy: The base form of the [[FightingSpirit Stand]] of Enrico Pucci, the BigBad of ''Manga/JojosBizarreAdventureStoneOcean'', is named Whitesnake.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Before Tawny Kitaen was cast, the role of video vixen very nearly went to a pre-supermodeldom Claudia Schiffer.
** David Coverdale wanted "Judgment Day" to be ''Slip of the Tounge'''s first radio single (it never was released, and remains obscure to everyone except hardcore fans), but the label chose the re-recorded version of "Fool For Your Loving", which stalled at #37 in the Hot 100---though it outperformed the 1980 original, which only made it to #53.
