----
* HeyItsThatSound: Not counting the classic game shows, since those used most if not all of their familiar sound effects...
** Farkle used the Stopper noise from Series/Scrabble for getting a Farkle, the Franchise/SuperMarioBros coin sound for removing dice from the board, the Price Is Right/CBS Television City "ding" for adding money to the Bank, and the Price/Television City buzzer as its buzzer.
** The buzz-in sound on The G.R.I.D.D. was the one from Series/SupermarketSweep.
** The "wrong answer"/"time out" buzzer on WebAnimation/ThePokemonGameShow was the "illegal clue" sound from Series/Password Plus and Super Password.
** Stop the Music used the Price/Television City buzzer as its buzzer, and the Price Penny Ante "button hit"/Joker's Wild Face the Devil "spin" sound as the clock set itself up.
** The "correct pick" sound on Strikeout was the "correct number" sound from Price[='s=] Pathfinder game, followed by the Price/Television City ding.
** Series/AllStarBlitz: For the Blitz Bonanza randomizing, the "bouncing light" noise from fellow Merrill Heatter game The Last Word was used, followed by the Series/PressYourLuck buzz-in sound when the randomizer was stopped.
** Would You Rather? also used the Last Word "bouncing light" noise for its randomizer.
** Play Your Cards Right used the "Pick A Prize" sound from Series/Whammy! for the numerical answer to a survey. The same noise was also used as the "clue reveal" sound in All-Star Blitz.
** The ¥25,000 Pyramid used the Fast Money "correct answer/timer reveal" ding from the original Dawson run of Series/FamilyFeud in its main game.
* LongRunners: Nearly 20 years, barring a year-and-a-half hiatus in 2008-09. To put this into perspective, Greggo's Game Shows predates the American Series/WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire by two months.
** Just before a Password show at Zenkaikon 2014, Greggo made it clear just how long he wanted to do this:
--->Greggo: By the way, this is my 15th year of doing game shows at anime conventions, so...hopefully we're good for 15 more and I will eventually be as old as Bob Barker and still doing this, so...that would be neat.
* RecycledSet: Line 'em Up used the same game board as The Joker's Wild, as the latter had been retired when the former debuted in 2014.
** The Yama-Con 2014 Line show had a stage setup with Greggo and the players on the left, Laugh Out Loud on the right, and the board in the center - essentially the same staging as the original Joker pilot from 1968 (which had celebrities asking the questions).
* RoleEndingMisdemeanor: He strangled a cat while drunk, resulting in the end of Greggo's Game Shows for the forseeable future.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** As noted on the main page, The G.R.I.D.D. (later renamed The G.R.I.D.D. Invasion) was planned for the Anime Network in 2004. Progress had gotten as far as creating an art card for the second logo, drawing up the set that was to be used for the pilot, and composing two of the show's music cues.
** Adaptations of Series/RemoteControl and Series/Idiotest were planned to debut at Tsubasacon 2015 before being removed from the lineup so Greggo could focus on brainstorming new ideas, having been inspired by Know Your Role.
** A straight adaptation of Series/Pointless was planned, but never got past the survey stage.
** Generation Gap, a role-reversed take on Series/1982, was in development at one point but never got off the ground.
** An adaptation of Series/Whew was announced in early 2018, but Greggo quickly decided against it after someone pointed out the limited amount of actual gameplay time in the format.
** Greggo's Casino, an original game that was to be a mashup of TNN game show Top Card and the Music/SnoopDogg-hosted revival of The Joker's Wild, was in development prior to Greggo's abrupt retirement in 2018.
* WorkingTitle: Ponyville Derby was initially called "The Pony Wheel", owing to its similarities to Series/WheelOfFortune (plus the fact it was using the puzzle board algorithm Greggo had created for Wheel years earlier).
