18	* DummiedOut: Quite a lot apparently but the most glaring ommission is Sonya. Not only is she not a playable character as originally planned but her absence is never explained.

21	* StillbornFranchise: This and ''VideoGame/MortalKombatMythologiesSubZero'' were intended to branch ''MK'' out of fighting games and into action/beat 'em ups. The pair of games' negative reception kiboshed that until they tried again in 2005, and this game was retconned out of existence.

Following the poor reception of ''Special Forces'' and Tobias's departure from the franchise, all other endeavors with the exception of ''VideoGame/MortalKombatDeadlyAlliance'' were placed on hiatus.
